I don't understand the intention of this thread.
Seriously, no offense to Alex (he is BLast hehehe) but provided there is an engineer that knows what he is doing, a Function 1 rig sounds absolutely brilliant.
It seems to me that you insist on saying that F1 does not sound good, when there are loads of people that know for a fact that it can sound great...and you base your opinion on what? One festival with lots of darkpsy acts playing?
Any system that is managed by someone who is not experienced enough, can sound shit.
So the F1 rig at Psycrowdelica sounded shit.
Reasons behind this are:
a) The engineer did not manage the rig properly.
b) The music actually sounded shit.
c) Reasons a+b.
The rest is just bollock-chiter-chat to waste time on the net.

The point was to get a general idea of funktion one, since ive only heard it 1 time. And it seems poeple have very different oppinions about it. It makes total sense that all soundsystems req a proper engineer and proper produced music. After boom ill submit a new comment, perhaps itŽll be the best sound ive heard.

I was on Psycrowdelica 2011 and Psycovsky or for example Insector and a lot more sounded really great..but acts like xikwri neyrra simply did not, because not well produced...you could clearly hear alot of harsh frequencys in his mixes..

for the record, the sound at the main stage at boom 2010 sounded SHITTY, yet in 2008 it was great.
same goes for tens of parties ive been to in israel that had f1's - when its properly tuned, it sounds great, altho i've heard much better, like kudo's, and the rig that was in ozora 2011 - might have been the same 
the best example i can give is turbosound - imo it sounds like shit, but i've heard it properly tuned (extremely rare) and it was very good - its all about the engineers |

See everyone hears different anyway. I thought main stage at BooM 08 was total rubbish 99% of the time. Not bad sound quality, just awfully balanced, no mid range definition at all. It was like the lead sounds got buried behind the drum track. my2c
