Gotta say that is my favorite album for the moment, and definately a must from Iboga and .... many many good words.
Quality sound that blends different elements together, but it still is trance for me and I like it.

Such a BIG powerful sound that seems to take elements from all genres of psy and creates a refreshing kind of progressive sound. Smiley melodic riffs, big sweeping pads and nice trippy sounds.
FreQ's sound is awesome           aNti-MattEr

An anomaly within a possibility

very phat and groovy sounds...... just keep em coming            - The yeti loves to drink shnaps too, so he's like a real shaman... he, uhm, uh, if you want to contact him, you have to put some alcoholic offerings in front of the forest.

This is Great.
Big and phat sound. Very original and groovie. With no doubt one of the best (if not the best) albums this year.
The only thing that distrubs me is the Cover which is realy nasty.
Good luck!

Absolutely fantastic album here. This is by far one of the most *psychedelic* progressive-flavored albums to come out in awhile. There isn't much that others haven't already said, but here is something I posted elsewhere and will just paste here....

With a string of genre-defining progressive releases, Iboga delivers us their next masterpiece in the form of the second studio album from New Zealand whiz FREq. While no newcomer to electronic music, FREq has only recently been brought to the world’s attention with standout tracks on compilations by Plusquam, Iboga, and Exotic Native. His latest effort, Strange Attractors, creates the perfect blend of modern progressive atmospheres and sonic layering, backed by HiHat Studios’ unmistakable crystal-clear production. The diversity of a seasoned producer is apparent with a mixture of sublime progressive groovers such as Carbon-Based Lifeform and Return to the Masters, and hard-hitting dancefloor rockers like Nurbs and Awaken. Each piece displays outstanding restraint and maturity - subtle yet powerful melodies are skillfully woven through bouncing basslines and entrancing percussion to craft an entirely new aural landscape which has only been hinted at previously. Without going into track-by-track detail, this album can be best described as a cross between the crisp, clear progressive soundscapes of Antix and the big-system outdoor atmospheres and drive of Altöm (circa “Hologram”). This is truly a boundary-smashing album which will appeal just as much to the progressive lovers as the die-hard psytrance fans.

9/10

favorites: 1, 3(!), 5, 6, 7(!!!!!)
