Well, once I found myself diggin' into a pile of vinyls in an old record store in hollywood, by the way that records store wasn't an electronic one but rather an old record store that carries mostly rock and punk/hardcore from the ninetees. to my suprise I found a couple of Transient Records there, mixed up with all the rest of rock stuff, well I decided to ask the guy at the record store if I could see the sleeve and play them as they were used to verified they were in "ok" playable condition. well, these vinyls were bought, even though, I dont mix with turntables and I m not a DJ but rather a music lover I found out later when i got home, and, I listened to them and realized what I bought, they were indeed jewels of what we now called psycehdelic trance........

here is the list of albums i bought that day.......

1- Disco Volante-Forbidden (the floorplay remixes)-Transient Records-45RPM.......
2-A Transient Compilation--- the only double vinyl i own and prolly my most beloved one also. It contains tracks from KoxBox-X_Dream-Astral Projection-Cosmosis etc etc.......
3-Astral Projection-Another World +Floorplay remix.
4-Cosmosis-San Yacid + Morphic Resonance.

all of them released before 1997 which makes them even more valuable if we speak about sentimental value on my hearth........ a piece of history that some might never know or actually dont know and will never discover..........           www.instagram.com/ckloro

First, I wanted to write about our wicked trip we had to Russia for a festival gig there last summer. That's when we experienced a Russian vodka-driver taking us from Helsinki to St Petersburg; a bus (likely to be from the WW2) who took a full load of hippies to the festival area and the driver went nuts because of pot-smoking vodka-fighters in the back of the bus; breakfast with the Russian mafia at the festival area; a Keith Richards look-a-like on stage playing for three people on the dancefloor making slow 30 seconds fades in the middle of the tracks for no mix purpose; rain slipping through the cover making the dj-mixer on one of the floors electrified; that and more in only four days!

Not to mention when the promoters screwed up with our trip back home so we had to stay in a crack apartment in a St Petersburg ghetto for several hours, and while we sat on the floor waiting, one of the Russians who lived there made a playlist in winamp: suddenly a woman's vagina flashed the monitor, getting electric bolts from some kind of equipment - and the Russian guy stressed out laughing and his girlfriend saw it all - ranting at him in crazy-vodka-mode...

... but later on I decided that I didn't want to write about this, so I'll just sum it up that this summer I had an incredible experience - making that special "listen-to-vinyl-chair" as soft as possible, putting on the 'Howling At The Moon EP' (whose one of the best trance 12" I own) by Cosmosis. Yummie, summervibes I tell you.

One day at a small party I had one track playing and less than 3 minutes for it to end. I wanted to insert a new CD on the CDJ 2, queue, beatmatch and mix only one minute of another track, remove the CD, put another CD in the same CDJ 2, queue, beatmatch and play the new track, all this in less than 3 minutes.

I had to be really fast. The problem was that I couldn't insert the CD! I tried and I tried and the CD just doesn’t come in! Despair was taking control of me, I tried a little harder and there was a skip on the sound system... Then I noticed that I was trying to insert the CD on the CDJ that already had a CD on it and was playing...

Fortunately this was the only major mistake I did in that set, and people in the crowd thought it was a minor sound system problem (I tell them the truth and we all laugh together).

Waiting for my T-Shirt , surely it will be great to use it while playing.
Respect!

It was 3 years ago, at the Night America first bombed Iraq. I was a new soldier at that time and badly wanted to go to my first nature party.
Line up was:

Shanty Alien
Triac
And LISH

When I saw Lish's name on the flyer I got so exited that I decided to go no matter what!
I couldn't convince any friend to come with me so I went alone on a taxi
I arrived too early at 23:00 and waited 2 hours. 3 rabbits came to visit..
At 01;00 It started. After half an hour or so, I heard a special track that shocked me.
Do you know this feeling when there is an unbelievable and unknown track at a party and you become completely amazed like you have fire and ice in your veins??
Couple of weeks later I discovered that in was Cosmas track (r.i.p) Yok yok.
Triacs set was completely insane - Dark miracle!
And than the bad luck landed from the sky: Rain! But the crowd was good and nobody left. I danced wet in the mud with a big smile on my face.
Alien shanty played skilled full on set. At 3;00 the party was stopped because the equipment was in danger
Alien shanty wiped it every 10 seconds..
Today he is Vectro Electro and I wonder If he can remember this.
Lish didn't came in the end but never mind.
It was a really special amazing party anyway.

Correction about my post: the name of Vectro Electro is Shanti Alien and not Alien Shanty.

my two vaguely amusing encounters with His Holiness simon posford

1) Samothraki 2003. Me and a mate were "enjoying" a chicken kabab and a few beers up in town.
Out strides the maharaja himself, girlfriend in tow. They then walk up to his hired little Fiat Cinquecento thing, tiny little silver compact car which he then tries to reverse out of a space.

Takes him bloody ages! An easy three-point-turn takes about seven points, before he eventually drives off, slowly.

Conclusion: maybe he can't drive, but Michael Shumacher never made any good goa.

2) Nothing Lasts launch party in Bristol, UK. I get pissed as a fart and ambush him in the chillout, pointing out what he's done wrong and what he's done right, and what he does next (Hallucinogen In Breaks, was my volatile suggestion).

The following week I was at an outdoor party and he turned up. As we walked past each other I said, "hello simon" and he replied (get this) "hello damion"!!!111oneoneone

i spent the rest of the night telling everyone this. My mate Lurk gave me a punch on the arm everytime i told the story which, drunk again folks, i told to everyone (instead of saying hello).

Come Monday, my arm had a bruise on it the size of Nigeria. But it was worth it.

L size please
