What's with the terribly done cover? His VA work his track on Lime Light 2 sound pretty good, and I don't doubt the album isn't alright, but that cover just looks way too unprofessional. The edges of his body just stick out against the background that he was obviously photochopped into. It's called a blur tool. I've done better photoshop work in my spare time. Surprising from Tribal Vision though..they seemed pretty good with album art..

People bitch and bitch about the music, bitch about that the artists dont do the music the way the bitchers want them to do the music, bitch about that there are not enough booklets and lollipop's in the CD's, bitch about CD covers and the bitching goes on and on and on on on.

What's next? Bitching because he got dirty sneakers on instead of clean new Nike sneakers?

Let the music speak for itself. And by the way if enough people would buy more music instead of stealing it (oh sorry that's TABU to say "stealing" - I better write downloading music to preview it) then maybe the labels could afford better more professional designs. CD artwork is not cheap in price or free!

Tribal Vision Records usually have some of the very best artwork + booklets in the psychedelic and/or progressive scene - Quapim is definitely a professional.

The technical quality on the Fitalic-cover is again very high (note that the preview at Psyshop is much brighter than the original CD I have), but I personally don't like the idea of him being on the cover himself. I'm pretty sure that's because it's aimed at a much broader market than the psy/progressive scene though.           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Qane: I do not agree about the "technical & unproffessional" part of your post (first of all, he wasnt "photoshopped into", this is an original picture just with the font and some space fx above; second, in fact it looks differently than the one at Psyshop, especially colorwise). On contrary, I think the designer did the best he could with that original picture.
Anyway, I do not really like the cover art (meaning content) either – but at the same time I stand for the decision to use it. Let me explain you why.

The point isn´t "aiming at a much broader market than the psy/progressive scene". Not at all. Honestly I don´t even believe it could work this way (maybe if Robin would be a sexy blonde girl with dreamy look and on the other hand I do hope we are already aiming a broader market than the psy/prog scene, but because of our music, not types of covers.

The reason why we used this kind of cover instead of our typical "avantgarde" style is simple though. When Robin (Fitalic) first came to me and asked about the possibility of releasing an album on Tribal Vision Records, I agreed of course. The music was simply fantastic and the negotiations with him were really smooth and friendly. As I believe the full-length cd album is a pure artist´s expression, we leave our artists freedom to choose how should their album look like, even from a design point of view. While for example Sonic Cube insisted on the most simple cover possible without any picture, "Atomic Atmosphere" cover is how Fitalic wanted it to look like and it was his dream since he started with music making. And I simply accepted that wish, especially while I know he is far from having a pop star behaviour, he just has a different view of the things than me or you. We got the picture from him and tried to use it in the best way possible and this is the result. Fitalic was 100% happy about it.

So, you surely have a right not to like this cover and I am not surprised at all – this is just an explanation why it looks like this. Maybe I should also mention that musically I believe its one of the best records we have ever put out, at least from the amazing feedback from djs/fans/promoters and fact that the first print was sold out in the first three weeks. And that´s surely not because of one tall Dutch guy standing on the cover

I see the dutch style in that cover

there are artists with so lame covers( yahel in top), but this one is not so lame, it's just a little simple maybe, but if the music is really good, who cares?:D

I am not so much into the Fitali cover myself but it's not even as bad as many many psy, Fullon and dark CD covers of many of the popular worshipped "megastar" artists on isra. But do not say it our too loud. Some people on this board would probably get offended

Than they should see it as contrastive criticism.

@Slater - I agree, his music is really good, I'm just surprised at the cover art, thanks for the explaination Oh and if you say it isn't photoshopped, I'll believe you, but the contrast between his pants and the background looks pretty bad..

and Johnny, I didn't know stating how I feel about the album art of someone that I think is a great musician is being "juvenile and boring"..its better than half the posts on this forum concerning whether or not Psy/FullOn/Goa are "dead" or "Can I have all of the realeases for the past _____"...
