Micron Transponder doesn't have any TB-303's in it..

At any rate.. definition of a good track..
Good groove, sounds well matched, produced well, not too many frequencies running into each other (unless it is done intentionally which can sometimes be done to a good effect), good track flow (beginning, buildups, breakdowns, ending).. Above all it is really quite subjective.

ok .... What exactly is a 303 sound then? i thought it was just another word for acid sound... ya know the sounds that goa songs are full of.. the techy sounds... since the 303 was the first synth to make those sounds i simply thought thats what they were called...I just hate the word Acid sound... refrencing them to lsd.... i feel dumb

Here's a page with some demos of a TB-303:
http://303.techno.org/sound.html
As for the other sounds, I dunno, I just call them synth sounds since they could be produced on any number of different synths, but the TB-303 has a very specific sound to it..

guys, is it really so importent? don't confine the music into bounderies by giving it names and classifying it into sections.

Music should be free!

...??? i don't get it. How is music "confined" when it gets a name? Creativity isn't inhibited when you catalog it. I understand that if an artist focuses on a inpiration, and not a style, the music is free to obtain whatever undefineable boundries... But haveing a name for a style of music, does not inhibit creativity! It's up to the artist to create the music. If he has a vision and goes with it, it comes out as it is. If it happends to sound like goa in every way, then thats as creative as it gets... But not cataloging the song won't make the song more creative. If it's goa it's goa, if it's a 303 its a 303... and god is god ....heheheh (junoreactor) <-creative
Basicly your philosophy only works in the creation process. Not calling a 303 sound a 303 sound just doesn't make since... i think your confused my friend. I hope i don't sound too patornizing. :)
