diving deep with hypnotic rhythms, sub-aquatic bass pulsations and reverberant melodies, evan marc explores varying states of non-waking life on this full-length outing. his sensitive approach to sound design is woven perfectly with atmospheric guitar tones supplied by system7's steve hillage, crafting a unique and cinematic take on the dub techno paradigm.

Beaport price is high becasue they have exclusives on the unmixed version of these tracks. After the exclusive period is over, the price will drop.

Mixed version is available on CD from the Somnia store. Im not sure that we will be offering titles on CDbaby anymore.

Wow, I have to say Im shocked by the comments people post. "Get it together and offer your fans something real?". Hmmm, I guess all the many hours I spend hand constructing these CDs, sewing them, signing them, and putting love and intention into the music isn't enough.

Maybe I should just release plastic discs in plastic packages with plastic around them, and try to get people to buy them instead of downloading from russian sites and soulseek. People who want free files can easily find them, since most often my releases are pirated even before the official release date. I dont really feel its my responsibility to go the extra effort and make free files more accessible.

Even with the exra effort I put into making something special, collectible art, special packaging, it's hard to sell CDs since people just want to steal my music or copy it anyway.

Somehow offering my files for free isn't going to allow me to continue making music. The CD is the _full_ release, an intentional journey that I put ALOT of work into, thinking about how the energy fit together and making it all work. At a friends request, I seperated the files into seperate tracks and put them individually on beatport, so that people who are more inclined to DJ can just get the tracks that interest them. We have an exclusive deal with beatport, which means that they actually do features and extra promotion for us.

I dont think I should have to explain myself to this forum, however. Im continually awed by how much people complain about the labels, GOOD labels, like Interchill, who have have been releasing amazing music for years. Why don't you guys try being positive and help the artists and labels by contributing positive feedback instead of complaining and questioning everything that they do? Believe it or not, ALL OF US are barely squeeking by and trying to fight the rising tide of people who just don't feel that music has value anymore.

Unless of course, you want me to just release some more plastic on plastic in plastic without the love and intention. Better yet, lets do away with covers and packaging all together, and files can sit in a big database like the yellow pages or soulseek.

If you need free files, you wont have to look to hard to find them. If you care about the music, and want to see artists continue to make it, then I fully appreciate your support. To everyone who actually buys music, and has sent me positive love for taking the extra time to try and make something special, I thank you tons and dedicate the music to you.

then you misread. the music, the cd and the releases you put out are fantastic. you should know, i have said so many VERY POSITIVE things about you and your music.

you should be able to take some criticism too. unmixed / exclusive versions at a ridicilous cost sounds more like a ploy to make as much money as possible rather than an initiative to please your fans.

Its not my responsibility to defend beatport pricing structure. If you think the cost per track is high, contact them. They are geared for the vinyl market, so sell tracks individually, and after the "exclusive" period of a few weeks ends, the price per track drops significantly.
