Every now and then I really have enough of the sound and can't stand it anymore, A week later I listen to a tune and go wow, I love this music style. This has been consistent since 1987.

I guess in the end I will never really tire of this genre...
What do you guys listen to when not to trance?           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

yeah, i go through the same cycles too and right now i'm in the kind-of-sick-of-trance phase. these days i seem to be bouncing between slow moody post-metal or whatever you want to call it (stuff like isis, pelican, mono, mogwai, red sparrows) and depressing/dubby/slomo chillout.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

Personally it to be pleasant to me psychedelica, and dark... But often I get on Fullon, at us recently it is a lot of it (more that time was pleasant when actions played more psychedelicaŕ))... And so even to radio almost I do not listen))... Only a trance! Chill sometimes only))
p.s. I apologise for broken English))

Winter I listen to mostly dark trance and heavy metal (all genres), Spring is mostly psy chillout and jazz and summer is a mix of Spring with some progressive and old school Goa

Well sometimes I just switch to FM mode and listen to a random station! on the weekends they do really nice electro sessions with local djs and talents.. fridays afternoons in summer, mostly soulful house.. I find it refreshing!

yeah last time I listen to alot of jimi hendrix, led zeppelin, cream, janis joplin and eric burond and the animals again.
I tend to change the stlyes like the weather changes,it turns between :
- roots/dub/drum&space/dubstep
- goa/psytrance/ambient/trip hop/industrial/fsol
- jazz/world music/flamenco/ravi shankar
-punk/death metal&flute music/blues /rockabilly
- hippy/60ies/70ies/flower power
- depeche mode
- classical & soundtracks and a few more.

When it comes to pure technoid stuff I tend to like the crazy side of psytrance as own artists as possible are interesting, production is completely secondary to my mind, the ideas and energy is the point for my musical heart.

Yeah it's the paradox of the fact that there is so much psy out there...

either is gets you suffocated... and you start feeling like the genre is hopeless.

then one gem comes along and makes you believe in the music all over again.

Kinda like that ... very lifelike.

Jazz.
Actually, jazz is the music I listen the most.
Then comes electronic music. All types of it.

But I guess I listen everything (that sounds good to me).
Classical, funk, old hip hop, even 80s           http://www.myspace.com/shumamusic
