DSI built quality doesn't touch elektron stuff, neither their support.
DSi feels cheap and has lots of bugs. Elektrongives 3 year warranty.
So more than happy to spend the difference just for built quality.

Completely different things. Haven't heard about any Tempests falling to pieces, or disfunctioning since the latest update.

We have all read about problematics knobs on their synths, and well all tempest users had to deal with an unfinshed OS for a lot of time (nearly a year).
But again: DSI one year warranty vs 3y by Elektron. Who do you think has better bq?

The endless encoders are the issue with DSI synths as far as I know. and you need to get pot editions of them. That's it.
The OS is done now and people's feedback has been great on it. So apparently it works.
I don't know if the A4 has a better build quality (if that is what you meant with "bq") than the Tempest. I haven't used either. Just heard demos of these two, the Tempest is so much more than the A4 in terms of synthesis. I also prefer its sound as well, but that is just me.
