sam...
thank you for the "short" autobiography.
it's always a pleasure to read about somebody's adventures in the realm of music.

i don't have much to add since leeloo and sam already mentioned several of my personal
favourites... well, maybe a couple :

-bogdan raczynski (the spelling is probably
(!¤%&ed up)
-titan
-mescalito
-peace orchestra
-jega
-rom-pari
-bisk
-netslov
-morcheeba (1st album)
-dj spooky & freight elevator quartet
-flanger (!!!)
-and burndt friedman, senor cocnut etc
-clifford gilberto
etc...

no, i don't know . i don't really know
anything about netslov or dr. tikov. just
got a copy of "outernational" and liked it
a lot. it's a bit hard to get info about
the band if you can't read the cyrillic
alphabet . so if you have some more info,
please tell!

oh yes... and these artists i just HAVE to
add to my fave list:

-tipsy
-super collider and jamie lidell's solo
-download
-unit
-cornelius
-ultramarine ("bel air" was as much ahead of
it's time as fsol's "accelerator" was)
-legion of green men
-social interiors
-pluramon

now I have an idea of why you write the music you do!! Flanger is fantastic!!! Does Clifford Gilberto have a full length album out? Tipsy is great, as are Download & Legion of Green Men           new Hadal Drop album on the way

if you don't have the last one get in touch

yup. one of the best names one could give
for an album: "i was young and i needed the
money" excellent stuff! among others there's a track with the theme for "skippy"

initially when i was in high school in 1996 i was very curious about electronic music so i used to go to the store and pickup anything that i had not heard before or sounded strange to me...

house dnb ambient
ltj bukem
air
orb
dj shadow
bt
daft punk - roule
FSOL
Wayout west
club trance
some goa too destination goa compilation..and random music
big beat - propellerheads

later i moved to detroit for 4 years so obviously heard a little bit more of the techno and minimal tribal music.. got sick of the stupid americans and techno arrogants who keep going on about themselves..
house and techno i liked.. kevin saunderson plastikman, jeff mills, adam bayer, swayzak, theorem, and lots and lots of other chill music like K&D, sven van hees, morcheeba, adam freeland, adam F, deep dish, chicago house..

then i got more and more into psy and realised that everything at least the techno and house i was listening to started sounding the same..

chicago house and detrout techno became the same old songs being played over and over and i got sick of it all and became limited to psy and chill (which has always been my real love. shpongle, sonic hallucinations 2, yeti 2)

now i have been listening to only psy for a while and since im getting little bored i venture into other sounds once in a while

things i like todya are some IDM
some chilled techno tec house

jeff bennett, matreik, diego, swayzak, kangzlerant, adam bayer, plastikman,
even though i really like this music.. it does get really boring and i agree with russell that i wish this other music had more psy elements in it..

we need psychedelic house and psychedelic techno.. and more fusion confusion staying on the 4/4 beat... id love to hear really funk inspired house but with psy sorta development...

my 2 bits
