i bought a used copy of Kraftwerk - COmputer World the other day, it's great. I can really subtly hear how influential these guys were.

Here's something of a lost classic: B12 - Time Tourist

hehe.. great CD

It took me a while to get into electronic music. For a long time it was all just "farken techno" to me & I was into stoner rock & metal, punk-rock & rap. Then I started taking drugs & got more & more into electronica (funny this must happen often). I just really appreciated the liberation I experienced at dance parties / clubs. Eventually I found outdoor parties & psytrance & it began to seem that perhaps many people in the club scene were a bit judgemental & seeing as I tend to lose it on the dancefloor often, this was no good for me.

At the same time I was getting more & more into psychedelia & starting to shun amphetamines & the music that seemed to go hand in hand with it. I began DJing when it seemed that noone in my hometown of Brisbane was playing music that was suitable for those on psychedelics. It turned out that I just had to look a little further afield, so I bought a car & started driving to parties around Byron at the end of 1999.

I got totally wrapped up in the outdoor party scene quite quickly & loved the freedom of it all, but it slowly became apparent to me that there were significant divides between the lovers of different genres within psychedelia itself!!! This seemed pretty strange to me at the time, as I would mix Odd Harmonic, Texas Faggott & Ollie Olsen into sets with Bamboo Forest, Infected Mushroom & Koxbox without even really thinking that maybe they were different styles of music.. although I would still mix this stuff given enough time to play over, but I digress.

Recently, this single-mindedness of individuals really started to piss me off. I've just been getting more & more into totally different styles of music as from a young age I have always had quite diverse tastes & I'm just finding that the trance crowd seem so serious about this one style of music that it's all a bit much for me. So now I'm looking outside for inspiration which is what finds me crapping on for so long right here!!

Anywayz, here's some stuff that really does it for me:

Fila Brazillia
Amon Tobin
Mouse on Mars
Monolake
Squarepusher           new Hadal Drop album on the way

if you don't have the last one get in touch
