this place seems dead, where all the people at? Made a search and couldnt find any topics on the issue other than the dub techno label thread, but I want to get a bit more specific.

I am looking for artists similar to Deadbeat,Paul St. Hilaire, Rhythm & Sound. Stuff like this

especially with badass rastamon vibration vocals like this. Hope to ear some good suggestions, thanks

there's some similar stuff coming out from the dubstep side of things too. go to boomkat and browse through the dubstep section, lots of tech-step records out there.

check Steve Foulds! He just released a new ep called Black Light, seven tracks of dreamy dub techno and electronica... Recommended!!

Really love all the 'Rhythm & Sound' output but am a bit confused about the definition of Dub Techno. They sound a lot like Dub apart from that very slight drive.

Can anyone here explain what qualifies this genre?

R&S is definitely on the dubbier side, check out stuff like Brandon Moeller that's more techno with dubby elements.

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned Basic Channel and Chain Reaction...Perhaps the most important dub techno labels around.

^Of course. But R&S is only one guise. Those who dont know might miss out on important works by Basic Channel (alias), Moritz Von Oswald, Quadrant, Maurizio etc As well as other artists on these labels like Porter Ricks, Monolake, Vladislav Delay/Luomo.
