I enjoyed the album myself.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

I'd forgotten about this. I haven't ever listened to the cd, but I did see them perform Dub side of the moon live at the Big Chill a couple of years ago, and it was absolutely fantastic. It went down really well with a very diverse crowd just after the sun had gone down (and the moon had come up).

At the time I remember thinking that I wouldn't enjoy it as much hearing the tracks one by one, rather than as a whole set.

Perhaps I'll go shopping and get back to you

classic indeed.. And now the easy star gang is working on a follow-up. A complete dub/reggea version of Radioheads "ok computer". Should be nice!           www.sonic-energy.net

as usual is a question of ying & yang
I don't understand why saying that a cd is crap is harsh...
and instead saying that is fucking fantastic is cool.
I never liked this dub moon story...expecially the singing in it...and as a classis is a very cheesy one (I am off with diary).
to be honest never been into the original pink one too.
still Unity Dub is a good friend and a truly inspiring dj...where u now ?

Excellent release- a real favorite of mine. Done with a lot of love and respect to the original (and to dub music of course). They put so much thought into the arrangement and to reproducing it in a dubby style while staying in tune with the original and the outcome is amazing- easygoing, psychedelic, funny and fun.

I think considering the challenge in covering one of the most wholesome albums in history they did really well.

Highly recommended.           ---------------------------------------------

Bill (Unity Dub) lives round the corner from me & I see him most Friday evenings in the pub! He's concentrating on his other love - archaeology - at the momment and doesnt DJ much or go to many parties these days.. but *may* be doing a few festivals this summer. We've discussed Dub Side of the Moon a few times & Bill loves it & I'm not impressed by it!

nice one John...I wish I could come down to that pub one day and have a go with you and Bill about the moon...
tell him that I hope to meet him again on a dancefloor...
before that finding a good dancefloor will become a job for archeologists
