well... my story...
now that i'm awake i can tell my side:)
i came at friday sth like 8 pm, than i turend off my cell phone, threw away the watch so i dont know what happened according to the hour hehe...
i pulled my tant up all allong with isratrance camp ..
than i went to check the place up.. it was beautifull, only good ppl, lot's of energy too bad the music kinda sucked at least for me, just not my style, and if i'm talking about music already, i'll stick to the subject
frist day:
joov opens the night with great progy psychedelic tunes, i couldnt leave the the dancefllor antil he finished,
after him went to mechanix who played some dark boring full-on tunes at night, didnt like his set at all
after him paul took over the deck's, i couldnt belive it, in the midle of hight speed crazy energy, he bored me so badly that i went to sleep for an hour or 2.
max from etnica gave a nice worming up set with very bad mixes, man come on have never mix in your life???? why was it so bad?:)
azax syndrome took over the deck's... it's not my style that's for sure... but the dude kicked my ass, i danced 2 and a half houres nonstop and enjoyed every second of it, he was absolutly eccelent, most of the ppl i talked to dont agree with me but who cares, i had a blast while he was playing:)
onyx&ptx came up after azax and gave a powerfull morning set wich seemed to be very nice but i had no power to move after azax set so i set next to the water chilling and listening tio good music.
between the music breaks i chilled with friends in the water for sth like 3 houres and got burned as hell went to sleep a litle chilled more
second day:
this combination wich i dont remember the name of gave an amazing set!!!!! i think it was a lot better to put them at the end of the first day after all the bobmbing we ate for 12 houres some psychedelic downbit music live with so much live instruments would have been a lot more better than opening the evening when everybody still asleep and missing such a beautifull piece of creation.
after them doof made a very nice intro with a singer wich was very cute.
uv opend the night with some harsh tunes witch was perfect maybe at 5 am but sure not good at 12 am !!!
i went back to the camp and bitched togheder with riji'y and shanti about the music, than i went to sleep... i missed zirkin and rev, entropoy lives ... i heard zirkin was very good.
i woke up about 6 to listen to zirkin and rev dj set wich was very nice but some time quite boring, the last hour of the set was amazing!!!! so psychedelic and powerfullgot me into the music like a big wave!!!
cheers!!!
after him gabi came and played the kind of full-on that meks me walk away from parties at 7 am ususaqlly, i hate this kind of music eventought the dj skills he proved were very good, short mixed exactly to the point, very powerfull music but so not psychedelic and without emotions at all, i gues ppl liked it was the dancefloor was packed with all the great amazing ppl who came to the fest
after him came dj split , i have no idea what he played cuz i went back top sleep but i heard it wasnt sth too sepical.
i loved shahar's set , chill out, realexing and very nice.
all in all the music wasnt the bright side of the festival.
i think the price here worth everty dime , not in every festival u can leave your tent up opened wild and know for sure no one will tuch it, see only great ppl and come back home with tones of good vibes and energy
guy- shanti... u r a funny man mate, your bitching made me laught so much all the festival , at some point it was just fun!!!
i feel like i landed from heaven!!!!! too short imo i want more like this
to shahar zirkin and all doof way to go !!!!! i got flshbacks from samothraki dance festival 02 , i wish u all luck in the world covered pocket and plz plz plz, make it a passover tradition!!!

Woooe this was an amazing festival. I'm still there...
We arrived on Friday afternoon and put our tents with the rest of Isratrance team, wear our orange Isratrance t-shirts and went to to do some sight seeing. The place was beautiful on the Kineret, with much grass (so you could walk and dance with no shoes). There were already a few hundreds of ppl on the spot with their tents. It was a beautiful sight all these tents. It reminded me of Samothraki - the combination of beautiful ppl, the sea and the trees.

Music was not my style during the first night. Paul (imo) wasn't very consistent in his set. Azax Syndrom was nice and so were Onyx and PTX.
Musically speaking, the second night was much better with Zirkin (this guy is a KING). I also heard that Peaking Goddess Collective gave a beautiful live set but I was asleep at that time. Gabi gave an exquisite morning set. I left to the tent after his set. Was too dead tired.

People were AMAZING! Doof made harsh selection and tried to keep it as much hush hush as possible. There were many people who sneaked inside - some of them even by sea. Doof security tried hard to keep them out whenever they spotted them.
There were many families who came there with their kids. During day time there was even a kindergarden! It was so funny and cute to see those kids playing around and some of them even digging.

Cops were hustling people indeed. But it's not like it came to ppl by surprise. Anyone who bought tickets was told that there will be cops inside and to be responsible.

Way to go Doof. They are the only organisation that I believed could have pulled such a festival. And that's because they did it from the heart and not for the $$. Big big thumbs up Doof. I really hope it'll become a tradition.           Majority is never right!

still not recovered fully but enough to write some...

those were 3 days of pure happieness!
amazing!
i felt like they took a piece of beach and turned it to heaven. the view was breath taking and the ppl were simply wonderful. the atmosphere was great, first time i see such a real festival with all the goodies i wanted (and there were lots of them!!!) only smiling faces and happy jumping ppl.

the music was not my taste as well but it didnt stop me from digging, some sets i realy liked and some not.
the first night was o.k... didnt like the music so much but it wasnt that bad from stoping myself dancing till the morning.
the second night was indeed much much better.
Zirkin was real goooood!!!! and also Gabi, and there was this last guy in the morning who made me go crazy! i dont remember if the music was that good or just because those were the last moments of trance but when he played... i dont know from where i had those energies after so many hours without sleeping to dance so hard.
anyway, the feeling and the atmosphere were so damn goooood that the music didnt bother me so much...

well doof doof doof... it was more then great!
thnx for making such a great event that made me smile so much.
and ofcourse, it was very nice to meet you sof sof isra(loony)team and lots of happy users

see you all next time
and now, back to sleep.           just flow baby... just flow...

Finally a worthy festival in Israel!

Excellent crowd. People came to camp, jump, dance and enjoy the music.
Sound was good, VERY loud at times.
Location was perfect.
Deco was modest, but nice
Musical highlights were:
Max - a few melodic tracks in the morning. The rest was unworthy of the name Ethnica.
AZAX SYNDROM - This guy knows the job. He played boring and repetitive music with great flow, a lot of power and neverending energy. The biggest suprise for me.
Onyx Vs. PTX - Nice and jumpy full on for the morning
Huda-G and Zombi - Played some nice chill, house and progressive trance. Way to go for the only real proressive set in the festival
One of the Doof guys simply went on stage and closed their music in the middle of the track - not very nice.
Zirkin and Rev - Played very nice tunes, especially in the end of their set (with 3 or 4 CPU tracks in a row).
Gabi 2B - Again, very good set with fluffy (:P) tunes.

The last high BPM track on the party was Eskimo - Party Pooper. Then it was real karahana in its purest form. People were dancing like there's no tomorro, screaming out of pure joy. It was fun to see.
The party ended at least one hour before it should have ended because of the Katzrin police who wanted to stop the trance music. I think they were plainly abusing their authority (god, are they even allowed to do that?).

Shahar of Isratrance closed the party with a beautiful chill out set. The police asked him to stop too. WHY?

It was nice to meet the whole Isratrance Team (except Mike,Trip- and Barmalei who couldn't make it).
Thumbs up for Doof and Shahar Zirkin! KILLA! 10/10! Waiting for the next one

Lastly I'd like to thank Karnaf for organizing the Isratrance camp, giving me a tent, priting the t-shirts,ironing the orange banner and still being able to smile after all of it

Cya next time

the worst thing for me was leaving at the end... in spite of the not-so-great stuff, i really felt "at home" - the people were amazing, there was great day-partying (my favourite ), and everything was so pretty!

i'm repeating guy - the frisbee was amazing, sorry to all those who got hit

thank you to all those who made it happen (including my transport and karnaf 4 all the organizing): my only regret is that it had to end... <sniff>

It was nice meeting you Adam

I was having doubts on whether to go to the festival or not, because of my tests in Galatz on wednesday (last stage, gotta study and pass it ) and I'm glad I did.
If I wouldn't have gone to the party I'd be really down right now

Got there on Friday early evening.

the place was a killer.
the people there were the best you can find in israel, i wish that every party would look like that.
have met people that i haven't seen in ages.

Music wise I'm sorry that Doof didn't go for more diversity, some more prog. trance at night (and maybee noontime as well) and maybee some tech-trance as well would have made the event much more interesting, Max was a total shame to the DJ name. Paul was trying to get up too early, Azax gave a good set that wasn't my cup O' Chai, and the Bionics team came to late.
Day 2 i slept till 4 AM woke up to hear Zirkin give a good back to back set with Troy and then Gabi give a propper Full On morning. after the previous day their music sounded very good, but if i ty and detach it from the previous night then it would be a couple of good sets (but not beyond that, nothing remarkable).

Police were there but i had no problems with them.

there was some deco, not much but it was enough, shame the police made the organisers turn the sound lower and shut it down earlier then it should have been.

I still think it was the party of the year so far, and all thumbs up to doof, i know how hard it is to make such an event in Israel.           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.

Mechanix - I am not a cat person but I do know music, so dont be OFFENDED. What i'm saying comes from the heart with no malice intended, some constructive critisizm never does harm and you will be wiser to listen rather then shut your ears to it. I came to this festival with an open mind - many of the artists I've never heared b4 (including you) and belive me that if the music was good you'd see me raving about it.
Dont start an insult war here or your ass will be bitch slapped all the way to Timbuktoo.
Huga - u can catch my stand up show on the next Doof festy
