y artists keep on changing there styles except a few babas who stick to there original style.

v hav so many killa artists makin good music but eventually they shift towards being more full on or vice versa ..

what drives them to take such measures , i agree money has a part to play in this ??
what else .

e.g---azax syndrome
absolum
penta

It's sound evolution. Sometimes it evolves to something good and sometimes to
bad, but its all about taste.
You can't expect artist to create the same style all the time. Its not natural.

The best example is Infected Mushroom.
5 albums ----> 5 different styles.

yes indeed, people change year after year, unatural would be that their music wouldn´t change.

but i desagree with you in some examples you gave, Absolum has been the same ever since, same music, same kick and bass, same melodies, or Penta, same style also from the first released track in USTA. infeted though is a good example, changing every album.

well concernin just penta, i don´t think his style changed a lot..when i hear a track by penta, i can hear his touch on every track..very unique style..just listen 2 his latest album, and he keeps equal 2 himself..only improved better his skills..
space tribe is another one who has his unique style!
but there are alot of producers who don´t have their line of sound..and follow the tide..the thing is that we don´t have a lot of people makin their unique sonority..just follow the tide           ...

absolum sound is crazy ...he was so good till 2003 , but after that he's changed his style , although the production is good ..

sometimes its too much , he's a very good producer but i think sometimes knowing too much is also harmful

cheers

sometimes I feel that there are artist that their style is so perfect that I really do not wont them to change. but I cant say artists what to do. I am just a simple Trance addict..

For example:
INFECTED MUSHROOM - b.p.empire
Imo the best infected style

Or the artist with the best (imo) sounds and style today
SUB6--......This is Perfection. But I suppose that they will chance. Hope to something good as it is now.

I personally dont mind change in style, it is an evolution. whether it is good or bad is a matter of your own personal opinion. artists cant keep the same style album after album...for 1 its boring to listen to after a while (no matter how perfect the style is)...and it would hinder creativity of the artist if they had to stick to their original style. people grow and change and the music changes with them. as long as they are changing their music because they feel that is an emotion or idea they need to express and not because they think this particular sound would make them more $ching!$ my 2.5 cents on the matter!

60-70 % of artists which are considered very good nowadays make the same kind of stuff which they used to produce 4-5 yrs back....
atleast the thoughts involved in the espansion of sounds is the same

I can honestly understand both sides of the coin.. I try to have a bit of a variety to the music that I write and each song that I write is an experiment of how to transmit whatever's in my head at the time into and back out of the computer... There are some artists that you can't really tell that they made a particular tune because it doesn't have the feel of something that they made. I also think it's important as an artist to experiment as much as possible and also to not be afraid to send labels stuff that you experimented with.

I honestly feel that if I continue to make the same sounds all the time, the music that I make will become a bad caricature of itself... Yeah, it's easy to follow a trend and make whatever's hot right now, but it does nothing to express yourself. Make whatever you feel like and if people don't like it, so what? But make sure that whatever you make is really you making it and not what you think people will want to hear from you.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Penta changed his style?? I think not. I heard him play just two weeks ago, and he blew my mind just like he did in 2003. He's just as good, still dark, spooky, very melodic, only even more psychedelic, imo.

but yes, with time, a lot of artists tone their stuff down a bit, some turn from crazy goa or full-on toward more morning or even progressive, deeper sound. It might be a natural progression - if you notice, most people calm down as they grow older, being to understand life in a deeper way, and partying just for the sake of party and doing drugs gets a bit old. Some people begin to meditate and do yoga on a regular basis to maintain their psychedelic focus, which again leads to a different perspective on the music. And then again, some people don't.. You can't really say one is better than the other. It's just well, different. Life would be boring if everyone was the same and nothing ever changed.

And some people just get tired of the same style and want to try something different, sometimes stuff that's more palatable to a crowd, and easier to sell. It seems like a pretty lame thing to do from where we are, I know. It's easy to judge others, but then again, you never know what you would do in the same situation, so if you don't like someone's music anymore, just listen to something else - after all, there are talented new young artists popping up every other day that are moving the music forward all the time.

          ..it's just another party..

Why shouldn't artists change their style? If they feel like they want to say something else or make things a bit different then they might as well do it.

There are only few acts who make their music a bit different but it still has their signature sound, and that is hard to pull off. It's like, when you hear some track and you say-oh, that is so and so, because you know their style. Ex: i can recognize a Shift track in my sleep.

Best example for diverse set of tunes in albums would be Spacetribe. And IM and Talamasca. That's about it.
