As Ocelot said the problem is that most people posses this mentality & as the number is drastically more than those who think other way round i.e. positive about saving the planet & doing something about it.
So if we collectively start just thinking about it, would definitely make some diff

when you think you release some energy into the universe & you will receive a response the same way your thought was. It's the law. Universe says your wish is my command, so you wish & think about it (purely) & it would lead to action. Universe would conspire to convert your thoughts into actions. It's a process.
This is all i believe & trust & i live my life that ways & it works for me

@dogon - thinking is only half the process, you got to change your thoughts into actions. theres no point reminiscing about what could be, get up, get out there and make it happen.
if all we had to do was think and lay back till the thought somehow transformed into an action, im sure there would be peace, equality and justice for all on this planet by now!
its good to have positive thoughts and send them out into the universe, but please dont be a wishful thinker! |

I do not refute the plausibility of global warming.....but don't let it become the next big propaganda tool to keep the masses occupied.....the chain of cause and effect should not be forgotten in all of this

whats with the Guilt Factor? if guilt could solve everything there would be no need for love. the fact that you are feeling guilty and doing things for nature out guilt, simply does not make sense, cause its not from your gut, you are doing it out guilt, logic and reason...the saving at the rate we now do is not a natural instinct,as in when the caveman and the first agriculture saved, they saved little and hoarded little, now we save, and sell and work on surplus. its the surplus thats causing the damage, there is enough food in the world, there is more than enough oil too...now people are applying the same surplus logic to life on earth..HOW MANY MORE GENERATIONS UNTIL THE EARTH COLLAPSES? we talk about how bad carbon is...but we are carbon based lifeforms...also we are not saving the earth, most of it just being "re-planted"...also forcing someone to feel sorry screws up their psychology, and bad psychology leads to bad conscious and bad conscious leads to bad deeds and bad deeds lead to damage...the damage is already done...theres nothing that can change that, its like shooting a dead person in the head just to confirm that he/she is dead...or keeping a person who has broken 95% of their bones, has a damaged liver, weak heart, brain -dead and failing kidneys, on life support and claiming that you are "saving" them and "caring" for them...now its just a question of how long will you care and save, if at all you actually save is questionable since ecological savings are hard to measure, in a jungle there are no numbers...the strong animals eat the weak, the weak eat the weaker and the weakest eat the plants, or if you have size then that works in your favor. everyone eats for the day, runs around, gets tired and sleeps...now if we all start living that way, then you dont need to do any saving, eat for the day and trust the nature to provide. the problem is we do not trust the nature enough...we only look at the surface, to really understand we need to see below the surface...life exists in caves, which are warehouses for carbon dioxide...if you are saving out of GUILT, you are basically dividing your guilt and thus you need more people on your team so that you can feel less guilty, its the "more the merrier" mindset...you are in fact using the economies of scale, and division of labor, if everyone does little we can save the future...all you guys are showing is bleek future, and then working backwards from that and basing your logic on a conclusion thats already been drawn out, you are believing, and you building a belief system based on Guilt...and the seven deadly sins, cant you see, you are promoters of the Roman Catholic Church...this is just another big PR campaign to gain more followers...

in March, the Vatican released 7 more "social sins" which include:
environmental pollution
genetic manipulation,
obscene wealth,
infliction of poverty,
drug trafficking,
morally debatable experiments, and
violation of the fundamental rights of human nature.
Thats a total of 14 sins. now because the nature and the way these sins are worded and based on the conclusions that they have already drawn out, the catholic mission with its evangelical base gets more influx or involuntary conversions, people who believe the conclusion but not the religion. You need more sinners to support you, and you claim that anyone who is born is a sinner...now whether or not he or she has actually sinned is no longer a question of doubt but of belief. The religion thrives on guilt, and as long as people feel guilty they have a support base...its baseless, the conclusion has already been told to you and now that you have bought that load of crap, you are sitting duck for throwing fear at, you keep getting scared, feel guilty and then do what...plant a tree, and that takes away all your guilt...you see nature does not have a confession box and does not keep track of what you do, frankly it does not give a shit about you, you on the other hand feel all this mass manufactured love and care...do you know how big the "affection industry" is? its over a trillion dollars,excluding the charity. if you keep kissing a tree and start licking it, its not going to get a bonner for you...you can rub yourself off on a tree but thats what birds and bees have been doing for ever.
