I write papers to psytrance..and I at least find it wakes my mind up and gets the juices flowing.

The only correlation between listening to psytrance and an increase/decrease of memory may be like psytrance makes some people thing more, or feel better.
Otherwise I'd doubt it, and you shouldn't count on psytrance for memory anyway..lol

this topic subject is very interesting and I kinda believe in it,

for example:
sciencties proved that taxi drivers in huge cities in america had a better memorey, off course after all this year off experience it was normal they memorize it by doing it all the time,

but what was so special ?

fact was if you took a picture of the taxi driver his brain it actually envolved, a certain area was like bigger, grew different comparing to the common brain of menkind...

so who knows after 8 years of listening to goa we have the same,
to be honest at this point now If I hear a track once, actually listened to it not on background I will never forget it anymore, I always will find it back because some mark of the track is saved in my memory,

what cd,
what year
artist
mostly which number on the cd, 5th song, 7ths song,

so I don't know,

maybe we should take a picture of our brain or a scan and let goa play and who knows we see actual neuron reactions           http://www.last.fm/user/LastFmKoen

Maybe it depends on the specific artist, in other words it might depend on how good the music really is, with the genre being of secondary importance. Like can we really expect shitty horrible trance to do anything positive to our brains? If so then maybe even an annoying fire alarm will do the same,

Maybe the reason why Mozarts music has positive effects on the brain is simply because Mozart as a musican was truly brilliant. His music was deeply rich and at the same time even simple, so lucid... so beautiful. Yeah like no shit that is going to stimulate your brain in a positive way.

On the other hand how about you bang the door like a mad man and see how that stimulates your neighbors brain, yeah just call it headache trance.

Perhaps its all no different then how everything else in life also stimulates and feeds your brain. Maybe yoga can also do you good, or laughing, dancing, petting a dog, turning off your TV more often.. hehehe.

Living life where the energy becomes like magic and flows.

Maybe if there was an enlighted Budha, just listening to his voice would stimulate your brain. Through its tone, its vibrations communicating to you a higher state of being.

AUM
