Hello to everyone out here .. 
i am frm india as my picture shows and i make fullon / morning psychadelic trance ..
i have been practising very hard and hope to release soon as things are working out for me ...
now i was talking to some experienced guy the other day , who has travelled the world a lot and has seen a lot of things ...
when i mentioned to him tht i was planning to release my tracks on an international label , he said tht there was lots of racism and hatred against indians abroad , and whites generally do not accept the indians and their music very easily ...
now all i want to know is tht is this even some what true ??
or is it only tht pure and good music counts ??
i mean if i make good psy trance and can burn the dancfloors alive , y would some whilte ppl , be bothered with if i am an indian ??
pls help me out with this guys ???
to make a name for my self and to get all the love i can , frm the psy listeners , is good music all i need ??
or me being an indian is a problem and there exsists racism against us in some form or another ???
p.s. - i also request the moderators not to delete the post , as i really need to know this ...
and i would feel more happy , if i could hear positive stuff frm label managers out here ...

What?! that sounds crazy... but then again I am from Toronto, which has a huge Indian population  the food is great, the people are friendly, what could the problem be? No I think trancers are a bit better than that, but I could be proven wrong... after all, we only see as far as the horizon...

there is one thing that comes to mind to me personally, and that is considering the history of psytrance and ongoing psytrance activities in India/Goa, howcome we hear so little Indian artists?
At the same time i believe that racism is pretty limited to none existent in the psytrance scene, large amounts of travellers/backpackers tend to have a positive influence on that... and how many countries except for israel would have a large number of artists of their own to book/sign/listen to ?

No-one will judge your music based on your race. I've never heard of it happening and I doubt it ever will.
However if people don't like your music, consider it might be because your music is crap, and not because you're Indian. ;-)
Good luck with your music! You sound very confident and I'm sure if your music is quality then we'll be hearing a lot more of you on the Global Trance Network. ;-) |

psy trance should be one gender that unites everyone all around the world. you can see psytrance festivals unite everyone around the world, with a total diversification. this is one of the things that attracts me, it supposably doesnt judge people by colour, nation, age, gender, culture, religion and so on.
if the experienced guy you are talking about is right (which I dont give much possibility) this would be something totally against the foundations of psytrance. maybe you can ask him what labels he is talking about and we can all boycott the label (if there is such a thing going on).
but if you make good music, I dont believe you should have any problem finding an interantional label to release music.

a "guy" (who ofcourse travelled the world and knows allmost everthing)once told me he is king Henry the 3rd and Shiva wants him to eat silk worms so when he burps....threads of silk would come flying out and will knit him a new royal cloth.....
not every thing some one tells u is worth mentioning or giving any attention....this insite from your friend is def' one of those things...TOTAL BULLSHIT.
the only racisim that goes on around psytrance is towrds ME....and thats because people hate the fact that Ganesha talkes to me and gives me tips on my bug eating habits....and not to them.

Global Trance Network, I doubt record labels will be racist, this is not a pop market where you have to sound good and be pretty at the same time
