Non-true-psytrancers is a race?
How about thiefs, they are prosecuted for living out their lives in the way they believe to be right. WHY PUT THEM IN JAIL YOU NARROWMINDED BASTARDS?!?!!?
... The problem with most labels is not the racism, but the fact that they are swamped with loads of music. Your tracks need to be heard by the people that make the decisions if you ever want them to be released. While this is not as bad as it could be (I'll give this quote: "send the 20 applications from the top of the pile to my desk, throw the rest away - I don't need workers with bad luck"), perfect it isn't. In Israel everyone knows everyone, so this is usually not a problem locally.

the forces of the market place alone should mean race plays no part in how labels decide which artists to promote: good (or rather, popular) music sells regardless of the race of the producer, so if your music appeals to the majority of psy-trance listeners, I very much doubt labels will miss the chance of cashing in...
i imagine this is at least true of genres of electronic music, where the "image" of the artists is based far less on who they actually are or what they look like... |

hi racism exsists for sure but not in trance, i hope, because i never saw racism in anything related with trance. And it's good to see ppl all over the world together, like a true community

I don't think its true. If you play me a psy track that I never heard before I would never guess if the guy who made it is white, black, asian, indian...
In fact I don't know how most of my favourite DJ's look like (and I don't really care). My point is, what you were told is a bunch of BS, indians are a major part of the psytrance scene, its where Goa trance begun.

racism exists everywhere. so does generalization.
Saying that international labels are prejudiced against indians is generalization. I'm sure there are ppl who don't like Indians (some ppl dont like israelis, americans, french, germans, africans, etc.)
Do not do the mistake of coming to a conclusion about the majority by judging the behaviour of the minority.

the other whom im talking abt , who was tellin me abt racism all over the world against indians , is an indian himself , and was telling me such things based on his past experiences , while he travelled the world over ..
he is in no way related to the psy trance scene and knows nuthing abt trance ...
so mebbe he must have generalised raism for all feilds ?? and dosent know how kickass the psy trance scene is ...
