Does psytrance pays off in the end ?

I would recommend keeping psytrance as a hobby. Do it for fun at your own pace. Most people I see that try to "make it" end up getting burned big time (I was one of those people once heh). I think it is important to find your place in the scene naturally: rise slowly and steadily until you feel comfortable. Then you'll know where you belong.

Of course, didn't you know - every psytrance artist goes to heaven.

If you don't manage to get your stuff released, though..... then it's the other way for you.

whats the conclusion:

a big THANK YOU to all artists that despite the materialistic nonprofitability of psy music still keep making good music because of their love to it.
the ones that do it just for the money....there was pretty much written about them so...

Hehehe, how can you be certain artists like for example Son Kite aren't in it for the money?? Everyone can say they're in it for the music, just because people like you want to hear that... think about it. I'm not saying those artists are in it for the money, but... you never know.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. Hi bro`

Let me only tell you, what I learned.
If you want to go in any kind of buiseness
DO GOOD AND A LOTs OF RESEARCHES !!
Saerch the web, selling serearches, just talk to labels. Maybe it will be hard to get in communication whith them but hang on to them.
ANd like the 14 taer old fella said, try to get employed.
It is always good to have money left on a side. It`s not sad, it`s true.

And yoou have be tru and realistic to your self how talented you are.
It`s in the end up to you.

There is a world market.
Will there be peace for everybody ???

This is so true, and is also the best way to avoid turning into a twat. You need to have a sense of both humility and of your own worth, and to be prepared to be in it for the long haul.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

I have a problem with artists that surf on one wave for too long....
I think many artists are afraid to lose their status that they dont dare to change their style or trademark, even if they want to, maybe they even should make another kind of music, but again probably afraid to lose status and begin fresh... maybe they got into the scene too early and only know how to do what they do... and with this i dont only mean artists in the psytrance genre

i dont think commercial thinking is good at all for any musical scene..

commercial thinking in this aspect is to keep one crowd for as long as possible... which manytimes means to stagnate and exploit one concept till its boring too death...

a artist can belong in so many places... its not necessary to put one self in a genre(only if you want to make money)...
music should be fun and full of changes...of course thats my opinion.

but if i look at it on the other hand i can understand that being good on something demands "one track" thinking... like a formula 1 driver that has to drive around the racing track for millions of times to be the best...and on the other hand of that, there are guys who win their first race without practising too much or any at all...

its good to have a goal after a goal, not only a goal to succeed...

maybe its a personality thing, some people are born to compete in one branch
and some people want to compete in triathlon.. some people do it for the price money and some people do it for them selfs..and some for both

just my thoughts...

This above didnt answer the question and was probably a little offtopic, maybe you couldnt interpret my analogy´s

Anyway, Psytrance pays off in the end, but not with money...
The technical experience amongst other things...
