This is something that I have seen really makes a difference to the experience of the listener.

Cds that have the tracks mixed in the order that the artist wants create a much more enhanced listening experience than just individual tracks.

Mixing the tracks makes it possible to have a seamless crossover and I want to understand why dont artists or record companies do a mix cd more often?? Does it cost them more money or is there some other reason I dont know??

Awaiting your feedback!!           You may think you can fly..but you better not try :)

I like it when their a mix between a mix and seperated. I dont want my album to be a total mix (beatmix ect). But to let the ending fade into the beginning of the next track is a good idè, and it's a shame that so few compilations do that. Even chill comps usaly just havre a track by track listing. I want it to blend alittle. And as a DJ, it wount ruin anything as the DJ begins his mixing way before.

I don't think they target djs when they make cds..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

True !!

But are we talking about mixing a track with the next one in line or re-mixes ??

Clarify please.....          ::.."Fortunate is the one who has learned to Admire, but not to Envy" ..::

Well !! I am talking about sequencing the tracks in the order that the artist thinks will create the journey he intends the listener to have.

I am not talking about beatmatching and other dj stuff. Just fading out one track and introducing the other in a certain order..Does it clarify the issue?

Alrite bro ! thanks......

Well personally i like it mixed ! As famiable said it should be a journey without any interuptions.

And i would love that to be on an mp3 cd better !! 60 tracks without a break .....hmmmm.....Awsome !

Respect !

Single Tracks that way u can work with it!!
u can on the other hand include a mixed version to any cd.. could be nice.           'I became tuned in on the network of neurological signals and cellular wisdoms that radiate at hundreds of millions per second.'

I actually believe that they do.
Tracks that appeal to dj's get more exposure in festivals, parties and radio.

By mixin tracks ruins this selection for dj's. But i prefer listenin to mixed cd's such. Guess its easier for the listener to understand the dj's taste as well.

I like tracks on compilations to be unmixed for the most part, unless some DJ with super mixing skills is involved (unfortunately there are very few like those in the psytrance scene). As for artist albums, mixed tracks work great on those, especially if the artist wants to tell some kind of story, like Jaia did on his 'Fiction' album, or Son Kite on their 'Colours' album.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. exactly my feelings....
most of the times, i feel tracks in a compilation generally dont really fall one after another perfectly, though a little fade does create a nice flow!
as for artist albums, i prefer them having a central theme or concept like the new solar fields album! ..just makes listening a better expierience. i also tend 'not to sort out good n bad tracks in an album when its all mixed n keeps goin on till it stops!

Nothing is said that has not been said before.

I am proud to annonce that your search is over.. Jester Records's first compilation release will be semi-mixed, much like you just explained. the ending of the tracks will fade into eachother, so when you play it in your car or home stereo, it will not stop to change tracks..

I hope more label's do this.. i hate it when i'm fucked off my mind listening to my CD's and then i get this "stop", while the new song loads.. kills the whole buzz..
