Do people have the right to complain about how the artists choose to make the music when they do not buy the music?

So what? We all should write only good things here?
kiss ass all the time? I write good thing about the artist. And also bad things. As much as I like to write good; sometimes I write bad. What is wrong with this?
What about contractive criticism? imo its the best criticism.

We don't have the right co complain!?! 4 who the artist make the music? 4 themselves only? we are the target of their music!
If I love something i will say it. If a don't I will say also.
freedom of speech.

I think there is a misunderstanding here.. If I made a shitty CD u have all rights in the world to say I made a shitty CD. But IMO u have less rights to bitch why I put a remix I made into that CD - concerns with your other topic.

I mean... Let the artist do his job. But if he does it lousy in your opinion surely this is the place to express it.

My other topic was not complaining post. I asked it to see if there are more ppl like me who think the same.

invert the situations instead of getting bad feedback you get good... you are happy, and those not buying are excused because they made your day

I am not sure I understand what your talking about in your 2 posts. Are you refering to me or?

And just because I open up a debate does not nessesary mean I "worry" etc.

hi HandA
it's nothing personal, just sharing my thoughts on the debate

But u werent satisfied with the fact that on an album of lets say 8 tracks there is a remix, which in a way gives u only around 60 minutes of 'new' music and then the 'old' remixed track, or which might be even 'worse' just an 'old' track...

My explanation to this is that artists album is a showcase of what is going on in a studio in a period of given time. The journey artist made from A to Z and it can contain a previously released track, or a remake to an older track with his new skills or new interpretation. I think it is super cool and if it sits nicely in the overall feel of the CD it is even great. Music is timeless - or so they say about it..           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

I think its bad to complain like this artist i to light, and so he's shitty, or i hate dark music.... bla vla bla.

You have the right to criticise whatever u like, but u'll have to give an argument.
About how the artist makes the music, its like how the painter moves his hand

would you have the right to complain to steinberg if you got a cracked copy of cubase and it didnt work right?
If you have aquired the music for free ..ie downloaded / copied etc.. then i guess you aint got no right to complain publicly , you may not like what you have got , but to complain.....nah too bad, you got it free right?

If an album is good or good enough I am more than happy to buy the original cd but this rarely happens nowadays.
But @Handa...No noeone has the right to complain, I agree.

People who are complaining about the content of an album without having bought it do bother me less than people who are sucking up the artist or describing the album as piece of gold..

of course they have the right to tell if the cd (or the x track or the y artist) is good or bad. i havent buy any cd of skazi but i tell ya... he suxx, (and that is my personal opinion and i m free to tell it either in private either in public)! Free of speech...
And i m refering only to your specific question if they have the right? About if they have the right to download and not buy or whatever its another issue...           +-+talking with ali3ns around the universe+-+

sorry but i am not really sure you and a few other people here understood my question correctly Or maybe I did not write it clear enough?

I have tried to make it clear that I am NOT talking about if the music is bad or not etc. And I also said that it's not about downloading versus buying.

I will try to make it clear one more time.

I am ONLY asking:

Do people have a right to tell the artists how they should MAKE THE MUSIC when they haven't even bought the music?

Now I cant tell people what to write here. It's all up to you of course. But at least try to answer the question instead of going off topic about 100 other issues
