the best way to prepare a set is to have a couple of beers and a phat one just before you rape that mixer

I like dreads           ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

Someone once posted on another site "I can't tell the difference between a good psytrance set and a bad psytrance set" and someone replied "Well just look at whether or not the DJ has dreadlocks"

I think its important to plan first 3 tracks and then play what you feel is best for the dancefloor.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

For a one hour set I prepare 20 tracks and mix and match, for a two hour set I select from 40.

Hey,

what do you play? Drum and Bass? or mixing Pop radio edits track? because having one track only 3 minutes on the plate..is...is..actually nothing! So, thats why i am wondering in what are you interested..in what are you about

preparation is great when the gig is big and you know the tunes are solid enough to move that crowd. I played a ~600 person party at New Years and not only was my set prepared like the first posters, but I was hella relaxed and vibin' with the crowd for two hours...

of course at one point I noticed a track not lift the crowd as much as anticipated so I spun out of it early and the rest of the set went as planned!           Peace Love Unity:

thats awesome, u can even press sync button so u can even plan your mixes ahead with cues and all.. some better models of cdj support saving cues on flash card.. and whats better u can use progs like mixedinkey so u can have your tracks to sit perfectly in keys.. btw be sure to analyze your tracks so u know the bpm ur spining.. and whats most popular among famous djs is that u grab some nicely mixed compilation, insert the CD and u just press PLAY! think of the possibilities.. u can go and sit on a couch, or dance with other, theres no problem with going to toilet and u can have a drink in peace.. man isnt djing just great!

WTF man, seriously, I have more fun in my bedroom than your 600 people had on party..
Just get up there and play, if u dont know how u better stick to bedroom until u learn..

Why are u so scared man, the party is big, so what? Chill, relax, and take every risk u can even if u blew some mixes so what? At least people will know that its not machine that is playing, that it is man with emotions..
End of the line.           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions
