But you have to agree that there is a genre called psytrance, even if it's not psychedelic.
It's the name of the genre. And this is psytrance.

Actually I'm not a big fan of the name psychedelic trance (now half of you will probably kill me;), just because of the thing I said before .... if music is psychedelic or not is as individual as music taste.

Actually there are so many bad names of genres. Another good example is the name progressive trance or house ... progressive means that the music is progressive (inovative) and this is something very temporary and not something that you can call an entire genre. Is so called progressive trance very progressive today? IMO there is a lot of full on trance or "psychedelic" trance that are far more progressive compared to a lot of the music produced under the name progressive trance, if you use the right defination of the word progressive.           Smile!

i must agree with seb on the "labeling sub ganers".

every feeling in this music is very individual.
im sure that what i think is totaly groovy most of u will say its damn boring minimal.
and what i think is "progressive" trance u will say its house shit...

so...           if you want to be rich, u`ve got to be a bitch!

this is trance for sure, nobody said its psychedelic. tunes like newport and force five sure make me feel like "what the hell is was !!", so kaz its individual, and dont try to say its a cluby music, coze its not. may be tarek mansur's loopey techno trance can be spined in indoor, rest are great groovey open air soundz.
and not, no "cats in blender" or " lsd " sounds. trance is not a loud synth lines but a state of mind.
u like psy, somebody like progressive, what wrong with u ?? its all trance.

I still listen to this compilation every so often. Can't really say that about too many other compilations I've bought/have.           Both teams played hard

I'm curious to know if people still like this as much as they did in 2002/2003... only the Vibrasphere tune really does it for me, and I have that on Lime Structure anyhow...

Yep, a great compilation. The Son Kite track really is massive and the Vibrasphere and Ticon tracks are great listening too. The whole compilation is compiled with nice tunes, so no real downers. One of the better old psyprog releases.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Still a very good compilation. Son Kite's "Massive" is one of the deepest tunes they've ever made, Vibraspheres "Newport" is a morning classic, Wizzy Noises tribal progressive monster "Prototype" is probably one of my favourite tracks from them, Atmos' "Force Five" is another deep morning goodie, and Ticons "Mr. Leatherman" is a real dancefloor monster. Sadly it was outshined by their hit-single "Waiting For The Knights", but I almost think "Mr. Leatherman" is better.

I LOVE the album-releases from Digital Structures, but I wish they would also release a couple of compilations from time to time...
