Different Prices For Girls & Boys At Clubs.

No girls, no party? What about "no guys, no party"? Are women really nothing more than an advertisement to get guys to spend money?
This attitude stinks of stereotypes and discrimination. Guys are the big spenders (because they have jobs and women just look good), they spend more money when there are girls around (when a guy sees titties he stops thinking), guys can think only when their penis doesn't take over, girls are the trophies that the guys look for... Thankfully, the only places that follow this in Israel are the clubs that have nothing to offer other than getting everyone drunk enough to not notice how shite everything there is.

As far as I can see no other woman has replied to this post, so I think I will.
Either way I dont obviously mind that I pay less cause I am a woman. I think clubs do it out of respect and courtesy cause woman are the gentle half and we like to get pampered to make us happy (not me really, Ill be happy to pay normal price). Us females bore the children of today and do a lot for the men, so in a small way its like saying they are treating us with respect and thanks by not charging us as much.
Does that sound reasonable?

Firstly dear Dragongurl,
I am sorry to be the one to break this to you, but it is not out of respect, admiration, affection, or kindness that you pay less at the club. Of course we love women and they are the essential reason for our existance!!!! Nevertheless, when it comes to clubs, parties, business, its all about one thing and one thing only: making money.
I am somewhat on the fence of this argument because of several reasons. As Surrender correctly pointed out, we live in a male dominated society. It has been so since the beginning of time for reasons which have to do with our nature as physical beings. As a result, women have been constantly disenfranchised and will need time to catch up in all aspects of life, including music. In this way, providing incentives for them to open their minds and appreciate reality as a whole (as we boys do), I do not think is a bad idea. Furthermore, seeing a little princess dancing her beautiful ass off could not be more appealing!! I am sure MANY of you will agree.
On the other hand, yes, it is unfair. Equality of the gender and all of that...
And Kaz points out a valid idea. Most of these places try to sell you the most booz (highest margins) and then everyone is trash and hopefully gets laid.
I think a valid policy would be discount for girls, but they must come in with a boy. And no boys allowed alone.

If you ask me I would say girls for free!!!
 
But make them pay double if they come with boyfriend.

Dragonurl: because men spend a lot more money on drinks and stuff when they have women around... and men are charged double when women aren't charged a thing - and men are willing to pay that if they're horny enough. A club is a business, no one opens a club with the intention of losing money, because if that happens, they can't pay the rent - so they might as well sell the place and go to other people's events instead.
If you think it's a sign of respect to women - you're incredibly naive. This is working on the lowest (and usually true) stereotypes: Men are the big spenders anyways, men will pay more if there are women around. Sex sells. And men will come in greater numbers the higher the chances of fucking they have.

Let me answer to that one. I've collected some data from 14 clubs here in Sao Paulo, Brazil which allowed access to their data)for the last 4 months. The results so far, as genre frequency is concerned: (Only one of these is a psy trance club which kept its data for this period. No party information available).
Total Frequency (Both genres) = 450.912 ppl
Frequency (Male) = 287.364 ppl (63,73 % out of total)
Frequency (Female) =163.548 ppl (36,27% out of total)
Female ppl amounted to 56,80 % to that of males. OR 1,757 males for EACH female.
Those are preliminary results.
The research is by no means finished, and most of its data remains to be fully tabulated & analyzed.
But one may already notice that the number of females is clearly inferior to that of males EVEN with the discounted / free admission fees. Obviously, for each girl in, we've got almost 2 males in, (in this case 2 full admissions), whereas the girl just entered for free, but she's likely to spend something over the bar counter too).
Looking into a couple of clubs where same prices were charged for both boys & girls, there's a much lower turnover for males, and a slightly lower for girls, which ends up in a quite lower gross income for the club.
So, even without detailed analysis, I could already state that the clubs charge differentiated prices not out of respect or any other untangible reason; They do it exclusively for income, and that's that.
As soon as the research is concluded, I'll let you all know about its final results.

I remember this clubs....
they used to charge boys and not girls and then the girls whould do this funny ritual of danceing around there handbags..........

from what i understand, it was recently made illegal in new jersey to charge different admission prices to males and females on the basis of gender discrimination |

Where I live (west coast of Canada), I've never been to a place that charges different prices for guys and girls.
However, in the bigger meat market clubs, I've seen pretty girls jump the line or just walk in because the bouncer lets them, even though it's not official policy. Also, often women get everything paid for by guys anyway (cover charge, drinks, food), so it amounts to the same thing. It's just human nature.
Club owners make more money on beer swilling guys than gaggles of girls that have one drink and dance all night. But where there are "chicks" there are beer swilling guys (at regular clubs that is). You do the math.

In spain boys pay the same as girls, unless it's a really lame club (commercial house or pop) In that cases yeah, sometimes they do stuff like that. |
