what exactly is it ? i heard someone saying sun girl , iron madness etc is night full on.. is it a full on bassline with the swooshes and wooshes ?
Does artifact come under the same category ?

Btw can full on be above 146 bpm ? Or does cease to be full on when it crosses that barrier ...

Some more examples of night full on will be appreciated.

I know we are trying to get rid of pigeonholing but classyfying artists under different styles is a convenience. After all everything from mr peculiar to ocelot cant be all termed psychedelic .. Yes it all is psychedelic at the end of the day but there has to be a point of reference when we talk about music.

As i see it:
artists like iron madness are Dark psy.

Dark full on is agressive music in a good way: Domestic's old tracks like in the comp Think Synk or his track quaik in the new album.
The misted muppet's tracks.
Xerox and Illumination
Black and White - not all the tracks but many like 20 for 7 and streets of venus.

X.l.ent music

The kick and baseline differs.

While a dark-full-on track will have a kick with base (like you said, that terrible full-on baseline), a dark psychedelic track will have a thin (Think old skool Goa) kick with baselines benief (under?). At least in my opinion and observation. ..
I'm not a producer, so I don't know the exact technical terms ect here.
But I think I'm right.

But of course, nothing has a facet answer in this question, all can differ. I'm not saying that this is Alfa Omega,
but it's part of the 'separation' of the two children.

It’s all about the feeling. Subjective or objective, I don’t care.

"Dark Psy" means very little melody - or, often, none at all - just dumb beats...
Re: "Night Fullon" - if the night is good (sound, etc. ) - any Astrix will sound like night fullon

For me it is:

"Dark"-Full-on

Dark-Nebula
Azax Syndrome
Phyx
Zion Linguist
Scorb
Wizard Lizard
etc etc

I call it dark full-on even if for me it isn't dark... it's just psychedelic full-on

I call Dark-Psy

Stranger
Kukuruku
Datakult
Baphomet Engines
Freaks of Nature
Kindzadza
Digitalist
Electrypnose
Dejan
Hishiryo
etc etc

Which is still not always dark, but very psychedelik...

What is really dark for me is CPC, some Baphomet stuff, some Blisargon, some Xenomorph, those are really dark soemtimes or often...

but I have to use the term dark to be understood by other people...

IMO:

Dark psytrance = Baphomet Engine, Mistress of Evil Records, etc... Fast bpm and scary sounds, no melodies.

Night full on = Night music that does not fit in the previous category. Like some old CPU and Absolum tracks, etc...

It is personal, and in the end it's all night music.

Oh ohhhh, but wasnt night full on then twillight full on...

You guys are really getting ahead of you with your genremania ;-)

Btw, I agree with full_on ;-) Its just, so many names for the same thing doesnt stand much of a chance to become collectively approved.

What is night full on ? What is morning full on? Whatever the DJ spinning desides, because whatever music he/she spins at that time, becomes "time of day" full on.

Why not focus on the COLOR of the music, purely.

Dark
Grey
White

and the attitude

Aggressive
Twisted/Wacky
Groovy

and the mood

Melancolic
Dreamy
Groovy

Instead of limiting music to times of day "morning, night, day" or to geography "goa, scandinavia, suomi, israel", which says less about the music, but more of the limitations in peoples thinking = making parties more predictable and artists more limited.
