somebody i tend to listen very carfuly to told me once that tracks are like woman (or men) :
The blond chick that blows your mind in the first second, will probably be quite boring after a month or two, while the keepers are those who you learn to love for all the small things you find out slowly. |

it usually happens to me, but not always.
for example, i had to listen a few times to Hallucinogen's tracks, and when i got it i was amazed!!!! (till now heh)
and the track...... hmmmm.. Hux Flux - Rotation Generation...... i got inlove with it @ the 1st time i heard it i think.. the same with Shift - Cult of Soma..
anyway i dont like to judge music by 1-time-listening. |

Oh it happend so much.... but most of the time its not happening with trance music... Usually it's caused because i listen to music in a place that doesnt fit the music, or my mental or motional condition is unregular, but then i get a grip, can listen to the same cd/track and find it to be lightning...
But, its also true about the opposite option...
i can realy love a track, and then listen over & over to it, and then it just loses its charm...
Good music, Good vibes, Gooooood chill....

Yes, its always happening to me... 
Sometimes I listen to a track and don't notice it very much, but only after a few listens I get into it and give it its deserved value (for eg, with me it happened with eskimo, that now i love!)
Also, some tracks might not be the best ones at home, but in the dancefloor they just take u by surprise and are a complete bomb!
But the inverse also happens to me sometimes, I listen to a track, find it quite good, but after a few listens i just get bored of it.
For me a good track must be heard in the right place at the right time, sometimes I'm triyng to show my friends a track but no one is really listening carefully, and so they don't even notice how special it is. It can happen in the same day I put the track again, now when everyone is listening carefully, and then everyone wants to know what it is...lol

Yes.. it does happen alot of times.. specially in trance .. may be the way track is engineered.
after a lotta smoke .. many tracks sound so different ! and once uve dug it everytime since then it sounds special to you
there are many tracks.. i was amazed to realise the 3d effect of sub6s Indian jackpot that night when i was on paper..
Theres another thing.. at different volumes track sounds different to ya.. although fullon tracks are exception.

Yeah... I bought Atmos' "Headcleaner", only because I had heard the name before... went home and played it, I was thinking "that entire album, is brilliant"... I had never heard anything like it before, and was just amazed...

What Avishay said makes the most sense of all ...
the ones that take time are the keepers.... yes we do hear alot of tracks on the dancefloor that sound good at the time ... buy the CD and it's just ok or shite!
i think its the ones you dont like at first .
