sure , i know thoose words daya it happens to me all the time as well everyday , but i think what we should always do is have a straight position showing our work and lettting ppl know that paying for our job is good enough and worth it,
About your question ; why u still around the scene , then the answer is maybe in your own words maybe becasue ; U defnlty want to spread your artwork to the world which is very rewarding , but why dont be straight enough to spread , earning .
And one more posible answer will be that u dont live from this at 100%, in my personal experience i dont live from this at 100% i will die on the triying lol
