Bro i have produced dark one time, but with my experience i could produce it very well...
as a Goa trance producer for about 1 year an few months, i became professional in production by hearing my favorit tracks every day with ipod and experimenting,trying alot...studieng theory too, mixing, synthesis as well.
But wen u get trained ears with ur artists, in prodcution u will know what sounds right and what sounds wrong, like beat bar times, moment for breaks, what u should make in a break, wich kinda of leads,fx and pads fits on the style ur producing.
About Leads and sounds, u can search good tutorials on youtube and work with preset.
i worked with preset till i bought my Nord Lead2x, now im synthesizing great sounds from scratch...

Albino is more then enough to produce such sounds and you can delve into FM8's depth later, when you feel confident about the basics.
so, go to your initial preset:
diverse sounds> z initial preset
on the oscillator section, change the routing of the first oscillator to fm and turn it one octave down.
on the second one, choose analogue again, press "sync" (then try without it, but will do for starters), tune this one one octave higher.
ok, move on to the filter section. choose Highpass filter, tweak some reasonance in. the env amount is probably up, and the filter's envelope has sustain maxed out by default, bring it down and play with attack and decay, and the env amount knob, of course... you can also invert this envelope, so it goes the other way around, try both.
now, play a c2 or somewhere near note. there you go, some fm lead you got.
then try this: turn the release down on the "amp's envelope", turn on the arp and place some tie notes in there (that's pushing the velocity all the way up). you should get your sound in next to no time! then explore this different parameters and please try to understand how they interact, otherwise it's just going to make you lasy.
anyway, you're not stuck to that particular sound anymore. hope it helps. cheers

thanks for the help but did exactly as you wrote
but everything got quiet after I pressed the fm. but no problem, I think I'm going to skip the whole music productionen it seems to be too difficult. or I'm just a stupid pot head who does not understand a shit I think it's getting boring. And I'm not interested in practicing for 10 years for a crappy track.Lucky that I start this thread to find out the truth about this kind of music production.

Best advice i got here was: never give up.
Is not difficult it is just A LOT of information.
Yes it takes a lot of time but if your passionate enough you can do it.
IMO It all depends on WHY do you want to make music and what are you willing to do for it.

really sad to hear it that dude. seems that you dont love it. you thought you will just open a daw and you will make the best track out there with just some tweaks for couple of hours? come on...
the idea is to enjoy the process man, if you dont love it you cant make good things...
and you said difficult? go back to 2000 when i start to learning the whole thing with the madtracker and a shity pc and you will understand. i remember i spend so many hours just to figure out whats goin on but man...i was in love for the first time with it.

The problem is that dark psy is a load of rubbish nowadays and therefore artistically and spiritually unsatisfying. I suggest making vocal prog house instead, supposedly it's how you get all the faggots and dykes to follow you, and we all know that they're where the good drugs/money & gigs are at.

I have experimented with my daw in 2,5years and never greated a 1 minute good track.

I hate vocal house music. Nothing intresting and also dubstep probably a trend right now but dead after a few years. Nothing personal only my opinion. nothing to trip to

Production is like mathematics, you must understand it before you can solve it.
And top of that production knowledge you need skills from your strong musical background or some musical talent at least.
No one want to hear just random art without the head and tail. You must dedicate to your art and first believe it yourself before you can start convincing others..
and then it needs more than few years work, sometimes more likely the whole lifetime, and still you feel you are not good enough. If at some point you start believing you are, next day your dreams will drop back to the square one. If you wake up for reality..
So be patient, and work.. like one Cosma's track is saying; ''We are here for one reason only, to work!''

yeah choose today instead of be a loser and skip production .I will now start with hardcore practice from step zero. it is the only way. i also will skip the riffmachine crap and try to make my own notes.

Of course it is a very good thing, to have a friend, to know "real-people" for the exchange of knowledge right in front the DAW, to get a clear view...
One knowledge to produce psytrance might be, how to structure the life around learning and production and how to be focused without pressure...
Ands that is very individual thing...
Its a "nice feature" IN THE WORLDWIDE PSYTRANCE-TRIBE, that we try to vanquish the fear to loose something,
when we give some or "the" (their) knowledge for free or for an obolus...
Is it at this point time to remember, that people who have the deep knowledge often try to keep a (big) part or important parts of (the) their secrets ?
But what is a secret ? What is top secret ? Knowledge isn't a real open source... Why ? Fear ? Interests ? Money ? Power ?
The money thing is close to be a virtual thing without cash and hardcash and most peolpe in the world money to be alive...
Why do we not build a system where everybody gets "his" money points for free, that we all can do our work without pressure ?
In Germany its called "Grundeinkommen". Some call it insane, some utopia...
But a "Grundeinkommen" would not change at once that 2/3 of the worldpopulation never used a telephone...
If we understand the system and the thing with the peolpe "behind" the system with the old and deep knowledge of systems,
we are able to understand the system, but it takes time... Equal which system...
If we are able to focus on our thing, our love, our interests for years, we will reach some of our targets...
Dont miss understand me, but the peolpe who gave the order to build the pyramids or the towers do the same...
Anyway, maybe some big scientists "with the knowlegde" give "wrong informations" ergo none information ergo they occupy brains...
And maybe some people have a "free view" :
Maybe you know what i mean... Creatures become creators...
And maybe there is no need to be afraid of a world where everybody is a creator and no one is a consumer anymore...
