Definitely makes me glad I live in Sydney then. I've hosted 2 Dark Psy club nights here last year, both were successful. And I just hosted an outdoor here bit earlier this year with a line-up packed with dark twisted action (with some equally cool twisted gi'iwa action during day time!), and that went down well too.
That said, the general Sydney club scene (as apposed to outdoors) is much the same as Melbourne, in terms of it being very mainstream, but yeah my club events also demonstrated people are up for a good dose of the solid dark psychedelic stuff too.
