need to mention that it is the same like with most of the full on stuff lately ...but anyway ....

I miss xenomorph in this round a bit ... in my opinion he is one of them deserves it to be called a darkpsy artist ....           I just came out, cause it seems there was a noise outside ! .... added to Parvati Records rooster .. check webside !!!

i dont give a shit about "underground". the music you call "dark psy" is for me just REAL psytrance. to me, it sounds more intelligent, creative, mystical, psychadelic (!). the "fluffy full on" is most times a standartized track using million times heard sounds with a break in the middle. it WAS psychadelic when i began to hear psytrance/goa, but when i grew up and so did my mind it bored me, in opposite to "darkpsy". i dont believe that much in "taste", i'd say its a matter of (long term) "set&setting"

why do we have some many "dark psy" artists ...?
easy.... that's only because it's the easiest and fastest way to make a track
u don't need musical skills to make this kind of music.... no harmonies... most of the time the rythm is so poor that u don't even notice it.... kick HH snare kick HH snare. .... tell me about revolution ....
the only revolution is that every single kid out there is able to turn on the lfo and oscillators so he can manage to make the most killaaarg innovative unbelievable plastic synth line played randomly with the most killaaarg delay and it's becoming kind of a contest to know wich one is gonna be the one that put the more fx plugs on his channel ... who cares about production and dynamic, it's just about making the most tweaked synth in the world(when they don't download their midi files from famous metal band)...

beside that, i recogn there are a few dark psy artists that still manage to work properly on their sound, rythm etc making quite serious stuff... but they are too few compared to the mass of random darkpsy shit coming out these days

actually you got a very good point.. lol

I agree with whoever said that the delta and xenomorph are the only real darkpsy. Listen to "thing", that's dark.. "corpses on the dancefloor" by "mind eater", a 165 BPM killer with lots of swooshing noises.. is not.

I think this wall of hard house noise is a result of accumulated anger from being subject to stupid amounts of israeli full-on, over a long period of time. Its like people are venting their feelings (frustration in this case) through music...but hey, isn't that what music is all about?
Anyway, its nothing new...X-Dream, Joti, The Delta, Spirallianz...etc have been around for ages. Its just that a new generation rediscovered an old style and added their own touch...pretty much the same thing that has been happening to any kind of music as the years go by.           Me>You

haha, exacly! I was about to write those exact words as well, but desided to keep it short. Yeah, cicles and evolution.
Let's include some "ying-Yang" as well.

And thats not a part of evolution? It's two stories of the same cause.

yes you can say that. The evolution of the circle this time is dark.
Like every music make a turn and now is there and tommorow somewhere else.

I think I have an answer.

well.. I listen to dark psy alot because I want to hear a thousand tweaky sounds comming at me from every direction, and I want a bassline like deadly night shade.

I think people listen to it because its the most complex. Derango. You could hear Derango songs over and over and every time its like something new, there are so many sounds in it.

Other psy like safi-connection-experimental dose. I like that, but its just riffs over riffs. I want sounds, sounds, and more sounds.
