after reading the responses of so many ppl id say the meaning of dark but melodic is somewhat ambiguos. as someone mentioned earlier a melody is something which depends alot on perception. some ppl have mentioned shift, menog, ghreg on earth as producers of such music. im not too sure if id classify them in this way. but too each his own id presume. anyways, to anyone whose meaning of dark yet melodic sort of corresponded to zolod, or ocelot's last album, just thought id let u know that vertigo records is looking out for artists wanting to release similar alternate styles.  . i have high hopes from these releases and im sure they will provide an interesting listen. big up to vertigo and all artists who will be experimenting with their styles .
