i find most 'dark' music melodious .. melody is something that varies from person to person .. like i would find ghreg on earth and derango dark but melodic but you would consider me mad for even suggesting that.

No, Ghreg is deff. melodic, but in a very unique, off pitch way. He ain't "twilight" though, that's for sure. |

NOw i dunno what qualifies as 'twilight' and what doesnt but you can play ghreg in the afternoon and bang a party .. IMO it would work very well during twilight as well beacause of the bixzzre pattern and structures in his music and the trademark hypnotic drummish bass in all its complexity

well .. first of all , not all n on melodic music becomes `dark` just coz of lack of melodies and random and harsh fx thrown in .. (most is rubbish  ) .. ok anyway .. try some trold , the new darkpsy album , other sin records stuff (va - freakdafunkup) .. the new zolod album (dejavu fabrique) .. also try some foresty vibe stuff .. va - no possible sounds (6 d soundz) soumi , but with more old goa feeling , sundaze records stuff , nystagmus etc ,the new odd harmonic album (some trx have a bit of `melody?`) , glowing flame records stuff ( va - imaginarity ), .. as well as schlab stuff .. kasol album , steptime and spindrift albums (check resonantearth.com) for free and legal mp3 downloads , old hallucinogen stuff etc .. again .. most here isnt dark but its melodic music wich wud fit well in night time party situations also ..

I think Darshan-Tranceformations(Flying Rhino 1997) is the best dark-melodious album ever written!
It's old i know but for someone who likes dark-melody trance and has not heard it it's like listening to psytrance and never heard Mahadeva! |
