exactly, its even possible to shake asses better in such tempi. on 150bpm people tend to move their hands/arms only or make a simple psysport-stomp which is in my eyes something which can be very relaxing too but you have to spend much energy, i am sure one reason why faster music needs to contain far more breaks and short and compact fullpower-parts.

I'm sorry but that is one track out of a lot of good tracks that indeed are quite underground compared to other genres in the much more commercialised House scene.

I would say that most of the progressive House scene in many ways replace what the psyscene seem to have lost. One of those things are the vibe which seem to be much more of a "underground" vibe in the progressive house parties than in the big commersialised MTV vs. Skazi parties

And let me clearify that I am talking about the Progressive House parties that are offsprings out of the psy trance scene. I am in no way talking about Tiesto parties here.

Oh progressive house.. I thought you were talking about the new wave of commercial 'progressive' psy that sounds more like electro then anything out.

I do not know what LeZuXxX was refering to but I guess it all come down to what you as an individual call Progressive House. A lot of progressive trance, if that is what you are refering to?, seem to move much more toward higher bpm's and into the Full On spectre but I do not find the current Electro House more or less commercial than most music in the psyscene. To me Electro House is way more fresh and inspiring than the majority of psytrance or Full On. But again that is my taste. And it does not try to pretend to be something else than it is. Party music! And after all that is what it is all about. To dance and have a good time.

I was talking about the influence that Prog Trance has from house, electro n some dark stuff today. As i said, prog used to be more introspective like bit monx n antix, now we´v got many different influnces on it. To say "i like prog" u can be talking about more "groove", "dark" or "psy" kinds of prog. I mean if ur a dj, u know how hard is to mix in a set SBK n Insane Creation, just for instance. U got me guys? Its like having "mornin" n "dark" fullon mixed,ok?!

Man you can Mix Astrix with Trentemoller, when the time is right & the DJ knows what he's doing...

imo a good dj needs to know how to flow between music styles, dark, light, taned and whateva...           http://www.aero-groove.com

And oddly enough this electro house sounds more interesting nowadays than psy trance. Artists like Trentemoller or even Ulrich Schnauss sound much more psychedelic than most of the full on and dark psy. Psychedelic as in challenging, evolving and logic. And not hectic, random and brutal or cheesy, accessable and unsurprising as the most of the music that is released nowadays on psy labels.

Agreed. I said it some times before in various topics and I'll say it again: Some of you people seriously need to check out other electronic music, cuz you're missing out on a whole lot of good stuff. Take ambient for instance, there is so much good ambience on netlabels (autoplate for instance, thinner sublabel) nowadays and you can download those for free, and the quality is just superb for most releases anyway. Techno, dubhouse (thinner netlabel). Seriously. If you like dub/progressive why not check out this release for instance: http://www.thinner.cc/releases.php?r=thn040

Look around you, get your kicks in other genres as well. It even helps to kick back your taste into psytrance. It does for me anyway. There were times I was totally fed up with psytrance and what I do then is that I take an excursion into ambient/drone/noise or even death/black/doom metal and after a few sessions I went back to psytrance again and it's like it hits you better then, trust me.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. Actually if u think about it the first proper acid music was around 130 bpm.. that gives space for much more to happen and is closer to what we can handle reffering to our heartbeat.
Best real acid tunes from back in the days were sort of acidhouse, deep, hypnotic.
Besides, any style of music can be psychadelic. just as much, any style can be commercial..
For some reason in Israel usually the more commercial essence is in charge. Even now, when finally the Electro and prog house age has come, (halleluia) its mostyl just a glice of it, its more of the "pop"y side of it .. Maby thats why it seems like its simioular to the full on sceene no?
Hopefully soon it will spred itself over bigger range of deepness (; maby underground will start to come back..
Inffluences are positive, the more the better, styles effecting eachother are very welcome.
Besides, any style of music can and should be mixed with another, on the right contast, thats the beauty of it isnt...

Totally agree with that! But i might be just a amateur dj yet, but still hard for me to mix music with a big gap of bpm´s from one to another. Like...prog from 130 from prog 140, or mornin´g from 140 to dark 148 or 50. Besides i think the synths just doesnt have nothing to do with eachother. But at the other hand, i use to mix some electro with prog stuff...i mean its more clear n up to do it. If i feel like that at the moment, i pick some n electro n do, but usually electro has part bpms like...126´4 , 130´5(for instance). I heard a japanese dj in GOA playing Freq at 145 bpm mixed with fullon n that was pretty ok, i know some really concient djs surelly knows how to do it, but otherwise, if u really dont know this trak u gonna do shit....hehehe isnt?! Sababa?! Take care....

well, that really depends i guess.. to mix them "together" would be next to impossible, unless Astrix makes a 130 bpm'd track or unless trent smokes some crystal meth one day before making his new track for raja ram's stashbag VA ..

im the first to say that different styles can be mixed together, but that is going a little too far.. lol..

now, saying you can mix down some Trent with some Midi Miliz, or some antix, or some ticon... that can be tackled.. ehehehe..

unless your crossfading that is or you have a 9 and a half hour DJ set to start at 125 and end at 145.           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! (techtrance invasion) ---> http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/86303/forum/9
