Very interesting and refreshing review. Haven't listened to the CD and wont. One question popped to my mind. Why is Dali the only artist that get told the truth straight to her face here in the forum? Why don't we see the same reaction against all the copycats and let's be honest very untalented male artist this scene has been flooded with lately?
Just a thought.

And to me it seem it is much easier to be a female artist these days. You just need to show some skin and you are set to go.

That's the whole point.

It's because when you give your honest opinion most people here start flaming you, then the topic gets deleted or your reply gets deleted. Happened to me countless times. People just can't handle a healthy dose of criticism / honesty I guess.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

gender doesnt matter, leave it, its not a point. i see that here is no place for criticism at all, i havent seen here any critical remarks even if they are quite fair and come from deep understanding of music. i dont want to read technical analisys of musical content of CDs but sometimes i see precious opinions and very proffesional in fact. if these are against then people on this forum say "its blaming, stop it". because of what? i want to ask? please delete all "killargh" stupid, sensless statements saying completely nothing about CD and leave all honest opinions. this is bad meaning of tolerance, say nothing because somebody may be hurt

...and then someone might show up and say something like: "it's music, tastes are different!" - I guess my taste is different ;/           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Havent heard the CD... but I was at a party Last month and saw her play live in London......
Lets be clear... Its not PsyTrance!...I know it, you know it.. we all know it!... so... with regard to Psytrance... It is SHIT music!.... However.....
...'the times they are a changin'......
..IsraliTrancePop...PsyPop..... PsyShite....PopTart..
.. call IT what u will....... whatever IT is she is doing, she does it well..... (even if to our Psytrance ears it sounds terrible)
..She looked good on stage, she perfomed well, interacted well with the crowd.... and there is obviously a 'market' out there for her stuff
...but I get the sense that......'Markets, Money &'Rock & Roll imagery' is what these people are chasing..... (complete opposite mentality of the 'original' Psytrancer).... but hey... its 2006! not 1986 and this is not a Goa beach... its huge capacity indoor/outdoor parties! Its not 'peniless, mushroom chomping Hippies'... its designer sunglasses, 'Powder' monkey Fashion freaks (the london party was all 'Muscle shirts & shaven haircuts....not Baggy tops and Dreadlocks!)
... as it was said earlier in the thread.... this Album is a proverbial 'Sign Post'.... showing "where we came from, by showing us where we are"...as for 'Where we are going'... I think a fork in the 'Psytrance' road is upon us and its down to personal taste which direction you will travel.... as for me........ I certainly wont be travelling down the road of Mz Dali and her Hommega entourage.
(hehe.. and now my politically correct bit...)

Subjective taste is like the ass. It's parted in two, and it stinks?

Right.. i think we're forgetting one vital factor here...

Dali can't actually sing in tune/sing...

I think that at least if it was some viable, lyrical crossover type music... or the big psy/psypop divide, she should at least be able to hold a note.

(Maybe she's better at singing in real life than in the studio?)           www.myspace.com/beat_nik
