Yeah, I like peace and love. I can love all the world, just gimme that stuff, and that euros i need to buy it. I'm being a little catastrophic here, but that's how I see it. Few exceptions just verify the rule ya know. Signin' out

other reality....your post is TOTAL REALITY man...No you don't sound catastrophic.
And for sure this is not "other".It is unfortunately pretty much REALITY it self...
But your signature is living space for expectations  ... I won't say hope.I hate this term.

Tim, I guess i've been a bit too melodramatic really ! Anyway, I re-post here, in order to express my opinion about the original question of this thread...So, the trance idea to me, is actually the trance "theorem", which showed up in its first form during the late sixties. The trance theory however was being "processed" for the fist time during the first phase of the cold war. That's 50's. So, Trance, actually, is a state in which the human mind falls into, while being influenced by repetitive rhythms and sonic frequencies. The mind becomes aware of a new consciousness, which is gradually building up to extasy. As some of you know, extasy means "outside the body" in ancient Greek. What we are dealing with is an exosomatic experience, which is combined with the essence of our inner body through dance. Trance music essentially combines these "in" and "out" of the body states, into a whole, and basically, this is the trance idea. The whole culture developed afterwards, is a result of the new world trend to tend towards asian religious cultures...

other reality your point of view for trance in a wider term (rather than just for a music one) is something that bothers me for the last 15 years.(9 of these years of my life are in the trance music scene)
So if you make the caltulations,it took me 6 years to finaly follow my "out of body state" and become what i am now.You have a very sophisticated approach on the subject,and i agree 100% with you.I would like to add that i try to use more materialistic definitions rather than to use terms such as "exosomatic experience" although i had such experience twice in my life.Such experiences you see, may cause extremely high excretion of specific brain substances and i want to have a fast explanation (at that very moment) about what caused this "state of mind".So I try to use mostly a more "scientific" way to define such unexplored "experiences",for one and only reason.To avoid mixing and confusing the trance state with religious,hippie culture, start triping to never ending stories e.t.c. If you achieve to overcome such (usless in my opinion) mixtures (shiva stuff and god theories) with no end and no begining,THEN you are ready to ACT.You are then ready to become a new member of the existed society.The difference though will be obvious.You are under an "everlasting trance state".You can then re-evaluate your whole life and adjust the whole world according to your new "state of mind".Things will not be easy at all.BUT you have a new life in front of you.You are free (in a way).And i think that this is great!!!
I am sure that you are against these waisting results of mixing trance with gods,demons,fairys etc.I can tell by your posts  .I am sure that you believe that "trance" can offer such capabilities,that it's a pitty to get wasted this way.We can have fun with trance music for sure like this ( i mean with fairys,dragons etc) this is entertainment and we all need this from time to time.BUT there is much more than this in the long run.Much more than music,much more than having fun...I consider trance as a "microsoft system glitz 
And i try to take advantage of it...the system's means ....against their causes

Tim, I must agree with you ! Although I don't really like the term "scientific approach" ! I mean, science tends to be so blurry and general, that truly doesn't apply to the unique personalities and approaches every single one of us have. We are all so different, it's chaos out there ! But, that's the beauty isn't it ? As for the religious and picturesque beings and beliefs, I must say that many of them are nice to see and experiment with. After all, our fantasy is what keeps us going on and on...I only think we have to discriminate fantasy with our modern status quo, so as to be effective in a way, in this cruel world ! He he, It's a sacrifice we have to deal with if we want to be in a city, wherever that is. If only I lived in the country, far away, and were, let's say, a fisherman, or a farmer, then my fantasy would be much more vivid, and probably much more useful. But, all peopple of the trance generation, are essentially children of the city. And as such, we all suffer from the illnesses of it. Trance is a gateway, that once it has been opened, the way back is difficult, filled with obstacles. Then you can either try and deal with them, or let them take you where they will, eventually. If one matures, I believe he selects the path of dealing with them, seriously, and with creativity and devotion. Great thing can happen.

Griniari tell us what do you think about trance.
Are you a system glitz outcome as well? Is this field a "shelter" for you? Or you find trance a nice chance to blast off-in-and out?

My opinion? Ok I can tell you about me since you asked. Trance is a place in my mind were I can go to and can make me forget things and ppl, it is a kind of a drug that freeze my feelings and takes me to a different world! Of course this world is fake and the reality comes back. The feelings return and no trance idea can do anything about it. This is the way trance strarted beleive it or not, there was so much system glitz in the world that ppl decided to take the mountains and create a music of the mind but still this glitz was powerfull and then the drugs came to enforce this trip of the mind! But the trance idea still did not succed and things got worse and here we come in our days were all ppl in trance are fucked up! And thats because we misunderstood the trance idea and decided to dance without having any feeling and keep our heads empty!The same mistake i did!Now trance idea for me is feelings, no drugs, guality music, fresh air, good vibes, clean ppl, clean heads!
