i seen alot of people 30+ with armani sun glasses and bmw jeep digging at nature parties..who are they? students? NO,the are corporate hippies

By the definition im also a corporate hippie.
In my country one needs to have a decent corporate job / business to earn the bucks to travel, party and do substances.
imo being a hippy is more of a state of mind, not the job u do.
@shamanizer - I agree with you to a certain level. Corporate culture discourages independent/alternate thinking and ties u down in a lot of ways. But then no one can cage the mind. Once ur mind is free, no corporation can hold u back.

@comet - I know what you mean mate. I work, at the moment, for a company as well. Whole corporate concept and their shallow values make me sick. I dont have power to go too deep into this issue right now, but there you got a point, its good to have your own mind . |

Anyway its kind an ultimate way of life...
If u like psyparties..in our world u need money to party...so everyone trying to waste less time on making lot of money and more time on partying(not only psyparties). so this coporate hippies are all about...
I think in the future when and if I'll have enough money I'll stop being coporate and use the money I have to build a "free zone" or a "non stop party" or something like that . hehe like the hippy communes( nice dream!)..

This thread makes almost states that if you´re part of the scene you´re a hippie...wich imo is crap...
Hippie is just a fancy word for bum, this counts for 99% of hippies who since the 60´s all they do is critisize society, sit smoking joints, taking LSD, and doing nothing to change it (the other 1% actually tried to change something maybe).
All this "feeling enligntned" like they know more than others and the answer to all things...lol...while the others work for a better living they just suck money out of tax payers who are REALLY fighting and working for a better reality...
Hippies and WORK are two words that can´t go together...so there is no such thing as a corporate hippie...
Now if you ask if there are corporate, highly professional people in the scene, I´m sure there are plenty!

corporate hippies is an absurd term. .
afaik. hippies lived together, they brought up their families together like tribes & partied together.. society, & moral policing was their fight to liberation & free love..
talk about a corporate hippie :S
hippies are gone long back, its only trancists & party animals that live now! !
hippie is a way of life/culture that you are trying to define , its not about your taste & style.

aint we all corporate hippies in some way?????
we all r working or managing businesses or professionals of some sort or students aspiring to be all of da mentioned earlier.......... infact u'd be alarmed da amount of hippies dat live in goa who actually wear dat corporate attire for 6 months back in their respictive countries n let down their hair wen for da latter 6 months in goa............ i was amazed and very inspired by dem........ best of both worlds.........
me want to party for 6 months n work for 6 months tooooooo........
guess da only way 4 me to do so is by going on strike hehehehehehe
