After commercialism of the Trance scene, the many people that started to go to the parties, the crews are obligated to make a big structure to receive the many heads that are going on it. The small parties, called PVTs are events with less structure, no many disclosure and no big artists or DJs just to wait less people. The point is, after the commercialism of the parties, many people start to attend it, many people started to take drugs and consequently, show to the population that the Trance partie is a place that people go just to be crazy (not in my opinion, sure!).

Today, the promoters are frequently with problems with government to have the permission to make the event, they put many difficulties to the partie just to interfere on it.
The PVTs are almost not happen anymore cause it is an underground parties (made without permission of the govnment) and the police started to stop with that during the event.

And it´s not enought... other styles started to take time from the parties... more Djs and artists from low BPM like minimal and electro are in line up... and some people are talking about to make a open air partie just with low BPM... =S

In the indoor places, the 145BPM are almost not listened anymore... just 123 to 135 take almost all the time from the partie... it´s look like the people is sick from the PsyTrance music...

And I ask u... what is happen?? The Trance scene is dying?? The govnment will find a way to prohibit the parties?? Or the low BPM will take all the time from it?

What do u think about that?

Regards.

As I can see... until the isratrance forum also is target from commercialism scene... no subject is discuss here anymore... the forum is used just for disseminate parties and artists agency... it's a shame!

I have sure that better days will come with the time... the PsyTrance music will not die, the govnment will leave the parties happen and the old times will back!

Well Maya, this is an OOOOOOOOOOLD, VERY OOOOOOLD discussion...since i know psytrance, people saying trance died, scene got commercial and ppl only go there to take drugs. What i can say to you, IMHO, is that a fact, fullon psychedelic trance has entered into a tunel of lack of creativitie... you see few artist making nice 145 music. PPL are just too tired of that old formula... if you search, you will find similar topics from all years since 99 till today. While we have this LOW BPM phoenomenon growing on INDOOR/OUTDOOR parties... while big parties put on their lineup electro minimal djs... we have the revival of some of the nicest trance spirit, as we can see it in Festivals in Goias&Bahia&Maranhao, and on parties such as goa gil, respect, mystic tribe, earthdance...as for the governments... FUCK THEM.           we are one.

i agree with lucas... this is why i didnt give my 2 cents

it´s better to make something active for the scene then continue a discussion on the internet of at least 8 years... i also was at chaishop forum and i remember this same things were said there since the year 2000...

it´s nothing personal, i just think that is not fair to say that isratrance is full comercial as well, since there are many people here who truly loves the scene and are making everything they can for it, including changing all his/her style of life

boom and may everything keep growing professional on the mainstream scene and magic on the underground scene

Good topic... However, pointless discussion!

You can't stop things from getting bigger and bigger.
That's the human nature mf!

So, if you like commercial parties... attend them.
If not (my case)... DON'T!

absolutely.

its boring, repetitive and doesn't get you anywhere.

BUT - the amount of discussion in our country's section has been so low lately. and that's at least a symptom of very poor developments on communication among us. which is a problem, imho.

take care!

Yes my good friend... SAD BUT TRUE!

I can understand the point from all of u... I know this is an oooooooooooooooold discussion... and while ago, I could understand that we have to content in what we have... and try to adapt in the best possible way... after all... there are the positive and the bad points of that!

So... let the parties xxxploooodiiiingggg

All the best guys!!!

well i like psytrance and the whole culture of it , i see it so positively that i think its really easy for anyone to enjoy ...so .. i just reckon it will keep getting bigger and bigger .. not only in brazil but in the world ..
going to the parties , taking drugs , and getting real f***ed up i just reckon is part of some ppls life experiences and stuff , helps maturing as a person and everything , in my point of view ..
the government will never be in favour of anything that can make u think in a different way ( subversive in the their perspective ) becuz its just not pro-productive ( in a capitalist sense ) to have ppl that can actually think for themselves and make judgements about their lives and whats good and bad for them ...
i think if ur not just into the music but also into the culture of psytrance , that to me is about honesty, purity and intimacy with ppl , you will be always opened to meet new ppl in big or small parties or whatever .. psytrance cant die becuz its not just an event its a way of life and to see things , music is part of it and part of life ..
thats my opiniion , hope it makes sense ,
=)

At this point, the one and only thing I enjoy in the whole scene is... the music! Yeah!

Ohm? Leprechauns? Fairies? PLUR?!?!

No way. There's too much GOOD AND WELL PRODUCED MUSIC around, and this is ALL I care about.

About comercialization and popularization? I assume all of you know that old quote that says "Dance like nobody is watching". This is what I do to solve the problem! Now you may think "Yeah... how cool you are. You dance like nobody was watching you", and I say: No! I WATCH NOBODY! Everytime I attend to a party to see some act I just can't miss, this is what I do. I don't give a shit if there is a guy wearing his underwear like a hat or if there is a freak-weirdo-lollypoop-fanfa chewing the virtual bubble gum by my side. All I care about is music. No trance spirit, no PLUR, no magical beings and all that "I miss the good old times from Goa" feelling.

Progressive? Full on? Dark? It doesn't mater.

If you seek well, you'll always find GOOD and UNDERGROUND music. I can point some brazillian acts if you want.

The Government will never stop THE MUSIC.

Sorry if I sounded a little harsh or offended someone's opynion with mine. Like a lot of people, I'm tired of this subject.
