This festival looks awsome. It all started with a visit to DEMF (detroit electronic music festival), it was there I found a flier for WEMF (World electronic music festival). WEMF was a hundred times better then DEMF was. Now, after attending WEMF2005 finding a Eclipse flier ON THE GROUND, I think Eclipse would be WEMF as WEMF is to DEMF.
Sorry if I'm talking too much, I'm just VERY interested to attending Eclipse. I can't wait.
I just hope I can get all the way up there (From Michigan, USA)

Hey, it'll be my first outdoor festival in my life, and i am kind of worried about how it will all go. I am going with some friends, and we are bringing a tent. But i am more worried about food, and security. How does it usually happen? Do you just leave your stuff in a tent? And nobody takes it? And what about food? If it's 3 days under sun, food will go bad... so you have to bring somethign that does not go bad? Any recomendations?

Hey Toma..
well, if you bring a cooler, most food will stay ok in there.. i mean, don't get me wrong, somestuff might spoil depending on how hot it is, but try and pack smart.. insted of Mayonaise in your sandwich, put mustard, bring dry stuff like chips, fruits work well too and veggies.. if you have a mini BBQ, then you can bring hotdogs or pogo's or even a steak..
Regarding your tent, well, its always a risk but i didn't hear of anyone having there stuff stolen in the previous 3 years so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.. keep your wallet on you at all times and hide your car keys 
as long as you keep your tent door's closed, i don't think people will take the chance and open it up to snoop around..

At WEMF this year, the skeetchy scandles stuff was everywhere! I cant wait for a festival where i dont have to worry about putting a pad lock on my tent!

and dont worry for the security, our tech safari security is 100% professionnel and very friendly, no bad vibe with this. peacefull!!!! And for food, many grill stands and not to expensive. Free fresh water on the site, chiccomango fresh juice stand and more !! don t worry ! And you can bring your beer can and your cooler (NO BOTTLES) But check our web site for all recommandations !!!!

BUS TRANSPORTATION ECLIPSE 2005
Departure from Montreal downtown for only 20$ canadian.
To insure a seat on the bus, please purchase your bus ticket in advance at Psychonaut located at 154 Prince-Arthur east ( 514.844.8998 ) or on our internet site: http://www.techsafari.ca. The deadline to buy your bus ticket is Wednesday July 27th at 8:00 pm. Otherwise you may purchase a bus ticket on the bus for $25. Keep in mind that advance ticket holders will have priority seating.
Departure and return times are 100% confirmed for the downtown Montreal pick-up and drop-off spot located on the corner of Berri and Ontario Street.

I also wanted to say, that i got my ticket online, because i do not live in Montreal, and I also don't have a car. And so i got my ticket for the shuttle bus online. After i didnt have it for 2 weeks, i was wondering what was going on. I e-mailed TechSafari, and got a reply that everything is fine, and i will just have to bring my PayPal confirmation with me to the bus, and you'll let me in. Is this still valid? Or do i have to go to Montreal to get my shuttle bus tickets? |
