Ok. Got a response back from LSD on the matter. Looks like that standard reissue is legit.

Hi Mark

Yes we licensed Hicksville to Avatar last year thinking they would release it then, but they've had problems with distributers going bust so unfortunately they are planning to release it this year, just when we are about to release the remastered version. We are discussing with them what to do about it.

Either way Hicksville will be released this year!

cheers

Looks like Avatar won out... would prefer remastered if this is confirmed soon tho!

Avatar did this with the reissue of The Infinity Project as well, released it around the same time TIP World reissued T.I.P and Mystery of Yeti 2.

I smell dirty tricks on Avatars side...           I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

You're thinking backwards or something, mate?

Avatar paid and licensed from the original label the right for a re-print, and then the original label goes and releases their own version at the same time, and it's Avatar that smells bad to you?           ---------------------------------------------

Well, it could be bad timing due to misfortune on Avatar's side of things. Either way, I'm glad this was reissued. Used copies were going for $50-$100USD. Usually closer to the $100 mark. That said, it sounds like the remastered version is due out shortly. Think I can wait a bit longer for that.

Yeah. Exactly.

On a side note: Where did you wind up finding the Freeze mix?

No worries, it's a great mix worth paying 6 quid for but it's a shame the bitrate isn't higher.

I got my copy for 18USD so ...

PS. I'm also waiting for remastered version that (hopefully) will include 2nd disc

I downloaded the online mix.
"Hidden Temple" is a smooth remix of "Jade Garden" - I really dig it!           Goa Goa-trance & Psytrance parties in Oslo, Norway:
