ok. i found another re-issue of hicksville from 2003. i found it on amazon released by topaz records which seems to be dead and also by sony music canada. maybe they remastered the album and this is a re-issue of that album? who knows? (who actually cares? the original hicksville sounds good enough anyway...)

well psyshop now have the remix cd instore ,`ill wait for arab... though ,better price.looks like friday is gonna be the release date then,psyshop always get in there a few days b4 everyone else, a small cunning plan, |

I'm really confused now.....I have the original cd but thought the REMASTERED version of the original would be good. I'd like the REMIXES version as well, so i've ordered both from psyshop......reading an earlier post..it seems the version released by Avatar is simply a reprint?
Psyshop quite clearly state that the original is Digitally Remastered....who's right and who's wrong here? |

The remix CD is on its way to snowy Oslo! yay!
Seems like avatar only has the reprint.. but its not a badly mastered original, so I wouldnt have any problem buying it.. if I didn't have the LSD release that is.

i e-mailed Rolf at psyshop and he assures me that the Avatar release is definitely remastered!!!
I have the original anyway and of course would never part with that but i'm interested to know what the newer version sounds like!!!
should be receiving it soon so i'll let you know!!!
i presume the same applies to East Of The River Ganges |

oh ok,``original album remastered`` ,maybe i`will get that too,but ,with just a 10 year gap,is it gonna be that different? ,i mean the remix is the remix ie different ,same with the forthcoming east..remix cd..
i know when i get an album been remastered thats say 15-20 years old its incredibly improved ,to my ears, but even knowing how much music technology and all that has moved on,an album from 98?
mmmmmmm i am inrigued nonetheless.

yeah..i know......remastered version might not be that different but hey...worth a try i guess. i can always sell it if it's the same.
you're right of course...the "remixed" cd will def be different as it's different versions of the tracks and i'm looking forward to that.
didn't think East Of River Ganges was remixed...just remastered i think? |
