After seeing the comments on this thread I was unsure whether to order this cd or not. But my sense of adventure prevailed after reading Pete Pan's remarks and it's now on order.

Will report back once it arrives...

I've enjoyed my copy, especially Nalepa's Floating Hot Air Balloon. The NSE track really impresses me, but, like much of his work, the sample stops me from enjoying listening to it as much as I could. Without the sample, it would be one of my favorite pieces that I've heard for some time.

Although several of the selections do seem a little monotonous to me, overall I think there's pretty good tracks and a good flow. If I could make future releases in this series to my exact individual preferences, I'd generally pick more dynamic tracks, but hey, it's not my label and I look forward to future Celestial Dragon releases regardless.

Okay, so i've got and had quite a few listens over the last few weeks. And I have to say, I'm really enjoying this cd!

Trk 1 is lovely, it's just a shame it ends so quckly - i would've been happy with another 2-3 mins of this one. The Vakuum Sounds track is quality - i really like their track on Bioluminescence as well. I like the Napelpa track, but I expected something a bit more akin to "Blue" from Devil In The Detail. But still enjoy it.

And then we hit the dub territory, whilst not as chunky and bass-heavy as some of the stuff from Devil In The Detail and Bliminal, still quality dub nonetheless. I love the NSE track and can't wait to hear more of that stuff! The RND track is alright, tho after the description above i thought it'd be glitchier (for some reason, whenever I think of glitch i think of Trentemoller's Polar Shift as a yardstick). Anyway, still enjoyable.

Also enjoy the Melodium track (nice different sounds), and the Papa Legba track rounds it off with a great ambient edge...

Overall, i found a good variety of styles and sounds, from ambient to glitchy to dub to IDM (IDM is another one that I find hard to classify, so not sure if it's the right genre). But then genre's don't really matter anyway, do they?

I was probably explecting something like some of teh stuff on Devil in The Detail, and altho this is different to that, I still enjoy this as an eclectic bunch of tunes.

I think the only track that didn't reach as higher mark with me is Trk 7 (if that's the one with the vocals). But i'll listen some more and maybe engage with it...
