sabke saath purana prem

Let there be light then!

purana prem

As the other thread got closed, I'll say why plur = prema, purana here.

What is purana, ancient history huh?

let's go back in time, waaaaaaaaay back, before the cosmic dance of shiva, before time, before light even!

now that's ancient history huh?

what was there in the beginning? prema

what are we? prema

how can we remember? feeling it

what are our atmans looking for? guess

our souls were equipped with the light warriors, the light warriors of:

Extreme dispassion for mundane things
Self control
Discernment
Inner Peace
And many others which get aroused when the conch shell is blown.

We are equipped to beat ego, and defeat darkness and evil, but when faced with prema we are defenseless, we are like small children, because prema is our essence, in love we were created, to love we were created and to be loved we were created.

Light and Compassion!
Light and Purity!
Light and Wisdom!

Forever!!!!

And if death takes us away, in the sea of spirit we'll meet again!!

Hey, I don't believe in God or anything like that, but I'm interested in religion in general, just to know better other's opinions.

I own 4 different copies of the Bhagavad Gita, which I have read all. Different translations, some in Portuguese, others in English and with comments from Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, from where I think some of the comments posted here stems.

Sure this book, one of my favorites ever, has something to add to someone's life. However, the main problem is to understand that people are very different, and specially that people has an amazing ability to adapt to the most weird circumstances in life. This leads to very peculiar ways of dealing with the "human condition on Earth", which is the fact that, by our very human/animal nature, we will suffer, will desire more than what we can achieve, will dream all sort of stuff both awaken and while sleeping, and (one that bugs a lot of people) will try to understand and assign meaning to our existence (or dreams or coincidences or whatever), maybe missing many aspects of life while lost in this search for something not achievable.

So I will shortly disagree with what Forza said about the Battle of Kurukshetra, cause even though one may interpret it as nothing else, but the inner battle that you have against King soul vs Rebel King ego, I interpret it as a lesson on accepting human condition on Earth. You have to live your life, God (Krishna) himself showed to Arjuna that he has to fight this bloodly war, even if this means killing his own family or facing someone unbeatable like Bhishma. How in the hell can God ask you to kill people, specially people you love? Thats the question the Bhagavad Gita rises, and successfully answer. You cant avoid living, and while living youll have to face very difficult decisions, which should not be used as excuses to try to avoid acting or living.

Stop assigning meaning to things that just happen, accepting that things can just happen is one of the steps towards self-knowledge. Of course, this is just my opinion.

ahmm...

What is created shall end some day... What's the big fuss about death when most struggle to survive... After Birth, the next best thing that's ever gonna happen to you is your death ! Make most of life and choose your destiny !

Anything is possible and it's all for a greater good !
