Thanks again for all the comments

I can't go modular as I dont really have the money for it righ now and dont have any dealers in Israel that sell the parts =\

I tend to like the Sub Phatty the most right now but still have to go to the store and decide if I will invest 500 more $ in it instead getting Little Phatty used .

I was today at my two local music stores .

Before today I never have touched or tried live analog/hardware synth .

First I heard the minibrute , I love that it is knob per function synth . The price is also really low compared to the alternatives . I think that I could create great leads and FX on it but i wasn't fully satisfied with the low range . The overall impression was that it sounds good relatively to soft synths but it haven't blown my mind .

There was also the analog four but its too much options in one synth for me now

Then I went to another store and Tried the Sub Phatty . Now I could hear the first time in my life why people buy this analog stuff , it sounds amazing to me , and I myself really liked it . Both deep bases sounded great and high leads and plucky sounds also were there , and I even have not touched the Shift functions .

For now I decided to go with the SubPhatty as I like it the most . Maybe I'll try to pick latter the minibrute used as I still think its great synth that can be great for FX and leads .

Thanks everyone for the help

Yeah I'm canning my modular synth for now. The module I've purchased will be happily stored until I'm willing to go back to it or sold second hand. I can just see it'll become a hobby that my wallet can't handle with child number 2 now on the way.

Instead I'm going to invest in a Sub Phatty, and when I know it well I'll consider adding something else that will give my sound a unique vibe. The Prophet 12 looks like it'd be worth holding out for in a year or two when I could afford one.           Cuntus Maximus.

check from 6,28 and part later but it s in 240 shiity qualty and dry... with pre/post filter saturation/overdrive it s a chamelon synth but i dig that cractere a lot out of it..when its used softer like at 6,28/6,40..around 7,30 and 5,40 it sound awesome to me too..

At Pom, I've had access to one of those with the or. Sequence over the last year and wasn't very impressed for the cost. I'd definitely go for a Sub Phatty instead. For the price of the xs alone you could get a sub Phatty and x0xb0x minibrutez

Also a Pittsburgh Foundation 2.0 is about the same price for a modular set.

Actually the Nord Lead 4 rack is also not much more I think.           Cuntus Maximus.

after it s taste about the sound..but for 1200$$ i think there is not much things better personnaly as it s very flexible and complete..in euro rack it would cost a fortune to built a xs and it wouldnt sound necessary better imo..just different as xs stuff is good from osc to filter..
it also need time i think it s one year i have it now and love it ! moogs sound great i enjoy too.. but too limited for my needs as one and only synth

the xs is also easy expended with euro rack modules making it a great entry into modular world for not that much cash for what you get.

The XS is one of the new(er) discontinued(?) synths that is a classic, imo.
Brilliant tone, even if it lacks in the bass department a bit.

But it does not matter though, it does other things the Moogs can't touch. Each synth has its pros and cons. Its up to the person to decide what they need.
