they put him to play too late imo, after Loboto, Paulo gio and Paulo Cego... almost 6am, he waited a really long time... then, when he was doing his live act with his laptop, someone dropped beer on it, and it fucked... from what I know the organisers also didn't pay the other half that was established before... I think they should have more respect with artists like Broken Toy, otherwise he'll have a really bad impression of our city.

HEy every body...
For me this was the party from hell!!!
I`m so sorry for everybody who was looking forward to my live set...
Its true , I was told to play at 4 am ,so I set up my stuff and then they said, no 6 am. So I waited and during the wait , somebody knocked a drink over the laptop and I think caused a short circuit through a USB cable connected to the midi controller. My laptop is Fucked!!!!! I dont have time to have it repaired anywhere because I am moving around too often , and people say the motherboard might be fried...
Anyway , I have all the data backed up - I just need to borrow other peoples` computers when I play for a while!!! Hehehe...
Yes, then I had to dj my tracks. And I dont have all my tracks on CD !!! Not to mention I dont come from a background of djing - I come from a musician background. Once again - I apologise !!! I know in this scene a person should be skilled in the djing area , but it is something I have neglected to practise up to this point. Believe me , I`m going to start right away! So yes , that was my first " DJ " gig ever. And the equipment was broken too. One CD-j would not cue and I noticed that the sound system was running in mono not stereo... Very strange...
Anyway... I had to leave the party immediately to catch another flight for my next gig in Santa Catarina. I could not be late. The promoters refused to pay me the full fee , so I left. After all , it wasnt a proper live anyway - I couldnt really argue even though it was not my fault about the computer.
Then I get to the airport where the promoters told me there was a flight booked in my name. I checked every single airline and there was no flight booked. Remember I dont speak a word of portuguese either so this is quite a difficult task to sort out! I had to use the little money they paid me from the party to buy my own flight to get out of there.
Crazy... This is the first time I have received such bad treatment from people who claim to be promoters and party organisers.
All in all , like I said - It was a nightmare for me , but I dont blame Belo Horizonte. I have spoken to many people who say they have played killer parties there and the vibe is really excellent. I guess if you play for the wrong people these sort of things happen.
My advice to anyone who reads this is to not play for these promoters. They are liars and have no respect. More than this I will not say.
Thanks to everybody who did enjoy the party despite all of this. Be sure I`ll be back sometime with a new waterproof laptop to destroy the place!!!

Hey Broken you don't need to apologize for nothing man, you are a BIG ARTIST, you are world wide know artist, you have respect !! This guys have to apologize you because what they do with you !!!
And Zaidan what i know, Ciano are in the organization and don't know who more !

This party was suppose to be wonderful, if wasn't the cheap and phony "producers" who didn't pay some? of the dj's, including me! Let's not mention the name... there is no need to! We all know from b4.... |

Ciano and the Quantica Records Crew were organising this event Zaidan... as I was there the whole time, I can tell u James told exactly what happened there, I wouldn't be able to do it so good as he did. I didn't know about the flight issue, this just shows us how this organisers are, they don't learn with mistakes from the past and keep disrespecting artists such as James 'til nowadays. the vibe of the party was also very strange, the place was terrible, I agree with James when he say it was the party from hell....
anyway James, we feel better that u don't blame our city, there r many good organisers here and the doors r always open for u... after all, we learn with mistakes.
