Does anyone know the rules about playing with fire in Boom? (ie poi/staff, etc)
and also, what kind of fuel do you use in portugal and where is a good place for me to pick some up on my way?

not much needs to be said about the boom... its gonna be one hot , steamy , melting pot of chaos and energy... hope to be there to share it with the global dancfloor.. and the boom is an experience that is regardless of the line up.. however with the line up shaping up to what it looks like this ones gonna rock peoples worlds

i think only the boom staff and the performers are authorized to use fire.
fire is prohibited in boom area..
and i can tell i already had an bad experience reguarding fire use in boom..almost an accident was going to happen if it wasn´t a friend who was able to extiguish the fire with some blankets.
boom area is to hot, and the leafs and small vegetation is almost, if not totally dry..well the boom area seems like a huge fire matchbox.
be carefull people in terms of fire using.
even to cook.

so to clear up the fire spinning situation....
is it discouraged?
or forbidden?
will they take our paraffin away from us at the gates?
will they kick us out if we spin?
our group are sober! and responsible! spinners.
we wont be running around trees setting them ablaze. we wont be spinning next to tents or deco.
if anywhere i will be spinning by the water if not standing knee deep in it.
so can anybody give me a clear answer?

i dont think you are allowed to make fires since its a pretty dry area that the fetsival takes place in
dont think they will kick you out they will just tell you to put out the fire |

aight, another question
since its gonna be really hot there, we are planning some sort of shade construction to sleep, recover,congregate under.(we wont be baking in our tents)
so far we have looked into all sorts of materials but we dont want anything that enhances the heat.
another qualifier is that it has to be light since we are flying. and airberlin might be a pain in the arse if we have too much stuff....
any ideas?

NO FIRE at all men.
its strictly forbidden.
don t you know that portugal is a dry country that has burn at 85 % in the last three years.
So you don t need to ask for this the answer is totally no.
