i love the feel of "NoSoftwear".. it runs smooth's and never crash's and the interface is fun to learn and play with. if you haven't tried it yet, i strongly recommend.. ;P           www.jesterrecords.ca

For sure, i think everyone has to know to play without software, besides i think is not pratical to carry your notebook and a midi controller around if the party already have a pair of decks and a mixer, and you just need to carry your mixer (if you want) and your phones and your cds

'No software' is definitely the ideal way but not everyone is a professional DJ.

For the mortals like me:-
Its quite expensive to buy all the hardware.

Software/laptop really comes to the rescue when we arrange smaller scale private parties with a bunch of friends.

Its stability of course.. Torq would be second best choice, but I wouldnt risk using it in a club..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

traktor scratch is just as stable as serato imho, and in case there should be any problems you can allways drop a normal record..

Anything else that would make serato better than ts since they are both very stable?

Which of these softwares lets you use dual sound cards to run each channel on...
I know VDJ does

why would you need dual soundcards when you can have all channels on one card?

you mean to say both channels running on a 5.1 channel card ? what if you do not have a 5.1 card...

Presently i use one channel on the internal sound card of my del studio 17. I use the second channel on a Creative Audigy pcmia soundcard.           "Whoever said the best things in life are free... obviously grew their own bud"

O, so you have a midi interface correct ?
Which one is it ?
I plan to invest in one soon. I was looking into two options

psy-junky use deckadance, thats for me best software for virtual djing..
Again I stand by the serato cause I heard from TS users that they have problems connecting it on existing setup in the club.. And a lot of users nagged about stability, ur lucky u dont have any problems, nice to hear that..
But personaly I dont like the looks of Tractor, I didnt like it when it was virtual djing program, nor do I like it now when its TS, though it looks better, more minimalistic..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions
