I've just noticed that the Deedrah track "Fulguropoing" i downloaded from Beatport (wav) is only peaking at -5db ?
Has anyone else noticed this with tracks from beatport?
I'm presuming the "pygmees vol.2" cd is mastered to zero db?
I want my missing 5db! |

Beatport does not master tracks; they merely offer whatever the label sends them. I have had to adjust and remaster a few tracks I have purchased there (the Absolut remix of Tame The Beast for example). Get to know your way around Soundforge if you don't already

Agreed but since there's no alternative it's all you got except if you decide to buy CD's online.
Anyway Beatport, Juno, djdownload etc. rock and is the way to sell music if you are a label or artist in the prog house /electro scene.
And £ 3 for a wav is a quite fair price

i agree.....this is another way to get the music out more economically and at the same time still supporting the labels and artists..........
it is apparent the "new" generation of psy goers are computer based now.... so, might as well venture into this direction....imo.....
psymp3.com is another site that offers tracks for good price...
