Ok I am reassured: "I bought the first Asura cd whenever that came out ('03?) but really never listen to it." Intrees 01.26.2005.
So how can you say it's horrible? I don't understand sorry, I must be silly...

Sorry Asura! I'm usually fairly quick at deciding whether I like a cd or not, and most of the time I am right. There are just certain sounds, styles and moods of music that I don't like, and if I pick up on them staight away I know I'm not going to like it...

I have got it wrong a few times, but I mean no offence to you if I don't like Code Eternity            - - It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice... - -

I don't feel offended, I just wanted explications about those contradictions in your words. I have them. No problem Intrees.

Okay Spaceships Of Imagination Vol 2 "lets make easy money"

Don't get me wrong. If you don't own the goldies on CD1 this is a must. Otherwise AVOID THIS UTTER SHIT!           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Albums I received recently which go into my get rid of list:-
Gab Le Mar-night radio,
Ten Madison-milk.
Juno Reactor-?

Juno reactor - Labyrinth ???
come on !! don't be silly !!! it's a real masterpiece of music!! respect!!!
As for gabriel le mar - night radio ..it's not so bad..it's very emotional wirg beatiful mellodies..
I agree about spaceships of imagination vol.2 ...it was made just for money..nothing new
Respect also to ASURA..he has offered a lot to psy-chill & ambient scene..their first album is absolutely magical and classic !           Music may not take us to the Moon or let us live forever, but as we enter trough the doors it is opening before us, we find things far beyond our everyday experiences..

I remember listening to the Asura album the night the bombings in Iraq started. Man it fit the moment so good. So sad and uhh no words.. real talent there for sure Actually going to dig out the album and listen to it right now as sleepy time music           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

I think the first Asura album is pretty special, it has a very nice old goa feel to it, always gets the people smiling in the chill out room as the sun rises outdoors... I spun some of the tracks at a party at about 7am outdoors and saw so many smiles... Ultimae music is probably the most truly deep and emotional out there other than Ishq...

I like Asura's style for sure. It's not really all about "chillin" for me as much as it is a relaxed trance experience, where the trance isn't induced from dancing, but inner mental voyaging . I also really like the lo-fi communication samples that are characteristic of the Asura sound and that bright upper octave organ-like synth lead used frequently. I'll admit some songs are better than others on Code Eternity, but that can be said of any artist release.

My personal favorite is 'They Will Come' off of Farenheit Project 1. It's just warbly and wonderful.

Just my two pennies,

for me the only thing between good and bad is style and substance...meaning?

there is a lot of music out there definitely influenced by style and within that there is some music of substance

too much style and and can be just boring...and too much substance? well then you run the risk that no one will want to listen!

i suppose there is a happy medium in the middle....

oh another pet hate I forgot to mention, and I have already been flamed for this, is Entheogenic...all style but very little substance...arpeggiator fatigue...

Cant wait for the new Waterjuice on Psyshop loved the samples...the first album was dope.

for me these are like the average mediodre full-on album/compilation. They seem like taking the safe way, tried and tested formulas, nothing surpising happening...
