I am also too far from latin Amerika,but somehow Ayahusca came and found me in the place I live,just in front of the door of job in way...
The elemental spirit of Yaje is powerfull,and able to call u where ever u are and be ready ,and it chooses spiritual people with pure heart who want to help their own selves trully, and then also automatically help other humans,because the purpose of this sacred elemental is to heal us and guide us through the path of light.
So if you feel that the plant is calling u,open ur eyes and ur ears and search...research...almost in every place of the world there are misions of Ayahusaca.
It is important for the first experiences in the begining to do it with a Shaman or with an experinced authorized people who have drunk with a Shaman,and know the secrets of guidance from a first hand.
Why is it dangerous?
Because of the demonic egos who are gonna puss u to do the mistakes,to afraid of ur fears,and to loose the control of the trip.
Unefortunatelly if u profane this sacred plant u open the door of ur inner cosmos to black magicians,this angel plant of guidance can be transformed very easy if u dont know how to use it correctly ,to a mighty demon that is gonna misguide u ...
I remeber once I had a negative experince with a person who had strong ego full of pride,We were only me and he,two persons,and it was from my first experineces,and I was deep in ignorance and not so pure,full of ego and dark thoughts...we where both deep in shit,our subconcious minds made a battle...in the beggining of my meditation
dark visions with colorfull skulls whearing sunglasses apeard with weird sounds..,and I started feeling not so good,I wasnt afraid tell u the truth in a way I liked it ,because it was a period of my life that I liked to listen dark trance...
but this was nothing in what happend a few minutes after....when we started chanting and calling the spirits,the other person who gave the drink,actually one of his egos made weird fight with on of my egos,he was more experinced then I was,and I received an energetic arrow just up on the left part of neck,this was a dark shamanic attack from him,and I felt strong pain on the area around my neck and all of my body,my aitherial body was damaged by an injure that caused from the attack of this astral arrow,that came from an ego,after that slowly slowly I started loosing my sensetions,the color of my body became yellow n white like as a dead zombie,I hardly tried to go out of the alter just to breath fresh air,I seated down on the ground and take deep breaths,on that moments I started to afraid and have real fear,I was feeling Charon death so close that I am dying,I concetrated on my heart and call the Divine Mother for help...after some minutes I found my self back and ready to continue the experience...
The trauma on my neck still continue to have pain for months after the arrow attack...
It is very easy to die sometimes,when u play
with uncontroled high volts of energy...

woooo wat an experience...
and yes u r right when the calling comes things fall in place... even though i knew abt Aya since a long time its now i feel i shud do it and im kinda ready for it... so i guess i need to keep my eyes n ears open... 
one more thing, i think there r no reported deaths related to aya usage till now, but hell ya, for sure it is not for everyone...
