Hi Trav, have you tried it before?
I've had a few powerful cups in my lifetime and also been to some mediocre ceremonies. Ceremonies aside, it, Aya is the most spiritual drug I've ever experienced. No doubt. And this opinion was build when I was a non spiritual believer. My two most intense best trips on Aya was
1. Listening to Adham Shaikh for the first time. While my Shaman mate cooking up the brew, we listened to his music, I had never heard it before and to be perfectly honest I thought it was terribly boring and empty (silly me). But as you can imagine, when we drank and entered the spirit world, his music was all but boring and empty, it was a rocket launcher to get granted acceptance in to the holy. I was so amazed and it was so powerful that I even cried at a stage.
2. Shpongle! Oh my wicked God. Shpongle is a massive piece of surreal art to visit on any substance and in sober state. On Aya it was like one of the heftiest roller coaster rides of my life.

Nice article. Made for good reading while listening to I awake- the core.
I would love to travel to the amazon one day and take part in an aya ritual and cleanse myself of my fears, negativity, doubts, guilt and restore fragments of my soul that leave the body to escape traumatic experiences. I want to see those demons come out and feel terrified; be an objective witness to all that has been suppressed & working unconsciously for too long, i want it all to be released and come out a different person. It sounds exactly like something that I have wanted to do for so long but due to worldly constraints haven't been able to experience.
I wonder if the brew is exclusive to that region?

Not exclusive, but i think they are "native" plants of amazon, not sure.
But people plant here in many other states, and many places in south america. Of course not every place is good and it needs some conditions of weather and stuff, but its not difficult too.
In fact, with the expansion of ayahuasca, it became a big problem overloading amazon with a high demand. Thats something to work. stuff like sustainable development, give value to plant your stuff and not get dependent. Also care about the replacement of the vegetals.
Btw, great article! I still didnt see any national program about it on tv, or maybe i just missed |

I haven't tried it. I totally would if I had the chance and the setting was right. The shaman has to be like at least 150 years old and this has to take place in a hut deep in some kick ass tropical jungle. I'm sure it would be a very enlightening (and terrifying) experience. "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

theres no ayahuasca churches in india?
(i guess your from india right)
there are even some groups mixing santo daime with yoga and hare krishna. theres one called "krishna-daime"

Ayahausca is the Christ of the jungle,it is the only entheogenic plant that have no toxins,and it can clean the toxins of the body,we use it for spiritual healing and needs respect,because contains the substance of God...
Unefortunatelly the human material mind profanes it, and we can also see some narrow minded people who work on chemistry laboratories creating chemical pills with it,to sell it on parties...
Ayahusaca is not for selling,those who go to the jungle and cut the plant to sell it on the trade,do a big mistake,because by this way the material touch destroys the true spirit of Yaje.
Yaje is an angel, a guru deva,and if it used by the right way,I mean drink it under the guidance of a Shaman,with rituals ,prayers,chanting,meditation...it is possible to receive wise mystic gnosis from the deepest areas of the heart and mind,esoteric knowledge that helps to lift conciousnes in a higher plane and connect with the divine...
By my personal experience after more then a 3 years of use I can say that I have changed a lot as a person,much more awakened spirit, more clean and pure,and now I know what is the purpose of my existance up on this earth...
Yaje help me to stop chemical drugs,now I dont even think about to take any chemical pill,not even one aspirin,becasue I feel so healthy than never,I know alot of people who have done great detoxication with the brew of this plant.
We use the plant and mix it with Chacrupanga and drink...
Becarfull guys this plant can be dangerous if u profane it...the purpose is use it fro sp[iritual growth and healing,and not to have fan or just have a psychedelic experince that will feed ur ego with nice colors and shapes...

Unfortunately not all of us have the means to get all the way down to south america, and I'm sure there are many experienced people in other countries that can provide guidance |

+1 completely agree  It has to be done the right way in the right place with the right ppl and the Shaman ...... but we r too far away from South America...

I am also too far from latin Amerika,but somehow Ayahusca came and found me in the place I live,just in front of the door of job in way...
The elemental spirit of Yaje is powerfull,and able to call u where ever u are and be ready ,and it chooses spiritual people with pure heart who want to help their own selves trully, and then also automatically help other humans,because the purpose of this sacred elemental is to heal us and guide us through the path of light.
So if you feel that the plant is calling u,open ur eyes and ur ears and search...research...almost in every place of the world there are misions of Ayahusaca.
It is important for the first experiences in the begining to do it with a Shaman or with an experinced authorized people who have drunk with a Shaman,and know the secrets of guidance from a first hand.
Why is it dangerous?
Because of the demonic egos who are gonna puss u to do the mistakes,to afraid of ur fears,and to loose the control of the trip.
Unefortunatelly if u profane this sacred plant u open the door of ur inner cosmos to black magicians,this angel plant of guidance can be transformed very easy if u dont know how to use it correctly ,to a mighty demon that is gonna misguide u ...
I remeber once I had a negative experince with a person who had strong ego full of pride,We were only me and he,two persons,and it was from my first experineces,and I was deep in ignorance and not so pure,full of ego and dark thoughts...we where both deep in shit,our subconcious minds made a battle...in the beggining of my meditation
dark visions with colorfull skulls whearing sunglasses apeard with weird sounds..,and I started feeling not so good,I wasnt afraid tell u the truth in a way I liked it ,because it was a period of my life that I liked to listen dark trance...
but this was nothing in what happend a few minutes after....when we started chanting and calling the spirits,the other person who gave the drink,actually one of his egos made weird fight with on of my egos,he was more experinced then I was,and I received an energetic arrow just up on the left part of neck,this was a dark shamanic attack from him,and I felt strong pain on the area around my neck and all of my body,my aitherial body was damaged by an injure that caused from the attack of this astral arrow,that came from an ego,after that slowly slowly I started loosing my sensetions,the color of my body became yellow n white like as a dead zombie,
